I think the shop does a great job capturing that whimsical feeling, and you can tell they really pride themselves on that. The inside of the shop, albeit a bit cramped, is just as well-organized and decorated as the windows. Other than perhaps Dallmayr, I think this shop has one of the best food display//layout/presentation in the city. Okay okay....I get it....nobody cares as much as I do about this, so I'll move onto the chocolate. It's to die for. That's all you really need to know. I had a slice of their Banana Chocolate Truffel Torte, and it's basically. All I could think about the rest of the day. It was that delicious. My friend said her slice of cake was just as yummy, but I wouldn't know because we refused to share a single bite of our treats hahah. I have nothing but nice things to say about Götterspeise. The food, coffee service was fabulous. Busy from opening and a great ambience and attitude exuding from every level of this business. The location alone is 5*. This has been my favourite location for 32 years. Sitting here for breakfast makes everything feel better. Even the customers dogs seem happy to be here. It tries to be like the cafes in Vienna but misses on service and taste front. The service at this one is particularly slow if you decide to eat in. It feels like the staff are unwillingly serving customers and can take ages to come and take orders. I often go here to get takeaway and on the odd occasion I have sat in the experience has been consistently so so. The breads and Brezn here are good as are some of the desserts. I would give the food four stars. The service however two stars.
