This playground looks impressive at first glance, but as you get closer and actually use it the cracks start to show. Situated in a quiet suburban backstreet it has larger grass areas for ball play, concrete paths for bike riding and a little further up the path are 2 duck ponds (the ducks love being fed!).
The playground itself has recently been repainted and had new bark chips but that's all the upkeep it has had. The smaller playground has a slide and swing set whilst the larger playground has slide, 2 pole slide thing (?), old see saw, 2 bouncers and monkey bars that most kids can still touch the ground when they use it. It's probably ok for older kids, but generally there is not a lot to keep them entertained. My toddler gets bored very quickly with the small playground and the larger playground is quite difficult to climb as the ladder spacing's are very far apart.
I want to love this playground just for the beauty of the setting, but the fact is it is in dire need of an upgrade and then it would be totally awesome. Oh and there are no toilets, not sure if the drinking fountain still works and the half court basketball area has no basketball rings so is just a concrete slab now. read more
