He was very personable, excellent bedside manner, and very thorough. He didn't make me feel rushed, he talked slowly and made sure I understood what he was explaining to me regarding the next steps we had to take in my treatment plan. I felt very comfortable with him. They have a lot of doctors who accept Tricare at this facility that's why I came here. My physician Dr. Perry is located on the 3rd floor here. You can get x-rays, mammograms, Orthopaedics, Oncology and Pediatrics all in one place. There is tons of parking but on any given day the lot can be full. All the staff seems friendly to me. Upon arrival the wound care nurse, Deborah Rogers, (please teach her about silver infused bandages) came in the room and was removing his silver infused bandage from his pacemaker. It was clearly written on the bandage "REMOVE MAY 10". It was the 8th. I was putting it back on as she was taking it off. Apparently they have to change bandages when they get there. That policy and nurse Rogers were a clear danger to him. ​​His mattress has no sheet. The night supervisor nurse said they don't put sheets on the air beds. They had him in an air bed, but it didn't inflate on the right side. Due to that he slid out of bed and they kept saying he fell. In the real hospital ICU they had started giving him water and soft food. Select gave him NOTHING to drink for 3 nights and 2 days. I gave him drink. No matter what their policy. In the 6 days he was there they DID NOT BATHE HIM 1 TIME IN 6 DAYS. They kept saying it was up to physical therapy. Goldsmith is extremely egotistical. My husband was awake 6 days, that dr had no empathy. He said "I tell it like it is. If you dont want that then youve come to the wrong place". How about don't act like a punk the 1st time we meet. We wanted to leave but Goldsmith wouldn't take out his tracheostomy if we did. We stayed. Our nurse, Rosemary, said drinking your pee is good for you, something about T cells. On the 6th day we left. My husband said the place will break you.

I took pictures of the heart rate monitor the night before/morning that I removed my husband, Angel F. From your facility. It was a nightmare from the start. I should have never agreed to let Baptist Hospital transfer him to your care-never, but it was our first time going to a specialty hospital- so now we know. Two months after this experience he was ready to leave Sacred Heart Hospital, but by now after loosing 70 lbs of fat and muscle from 4 months in a hospital setting- he couldn't walk at all. We asked to try your facility again, but we were denied, so I know where SSH stands when it comes to complaints against them. No worries-he learned to walk again on his own at home. We are taking Dr. George C. Reese and Baptist Hospital to court for not only his botched surgery, but also causing him near starvation and malnutrition. It's all in the records-they will speak for themselves at their trial. Oh yes, we will go to trial because my husband almost died in your facility and Baptist Hospital, so we really have nothing to loose. Wether your facility will be part of this trial is up to the lawyers. If you are really concerned about the well-being of your patients-your Staff would reflect this, but unfortunately they don't. I neither need nor want you pat replies. I voiced my concerns to your social worker/patient manager. Everytime- I was ignored, dismissed, and called a liar. I was told that they couldn't refill my medicine unless I came into the office because I hadn't been there since November. So I used MD Live to get refills because I was going out of town and couldn't go in. I called yesterday to make my appointment and told them that I needed to come in for refills on my medicine because they wouldn't fill it. They asked me who prescribed it and I said Jennifer Pope. They made me an appointment with her. My appointment was this morning at 8:30. I waited 40 mins to get called back. When I get back there I confirm that I need refills with the nurse. I also told her that my ear is bothering me and I might have an ear infection that I'd like the doctor to look at it. Then I was put through a depression survey. Nurse leaves then the doctor comes in. She told me that she can only give me a 30 day supply because Doctor Bell requires labs and an annual exam to obtain your refills. I stated that the office staff never explained that and I have basically wasted my time today and I would've made an appointment for what was required for the refills. She apologized and said she would find out why that happened with the office staff. She left the room. I realized that she didn't look at my ear and stepped out and told the nurse. The nurse came back and said that she was already with another patient. I said I can wait. Then she mentioned that I need to come back for my annual and I cut her off and said no, I won't be waiting for my ear to be looked at until my next appointment and I wasn't going to leave until she did. Nurse leaves. I hear whispering in the hall and what sounds like then she can wait. Enter the office manager. She begins to explain to me their annual exam requirements etc. I cut her off and tell her that isn't why I am upset. I'm upset because I told the nurse I needed my ear looked at and was told I that I needed to make another appointment because she doesn't have time. Mind you the doctor wasn't in my room longer than 3 minutes and I offered to wait and I had told the nurse about my ear before the doctor came in. She went out of the room to find out the situation from the nurse. I heard them whispering about what the timeline was when I asked about the doctor looking at my ear. Then I waited for 10 more minutes and nobody came back. As I sat there it dawned on me that the office manager had said that it was in November that I had seen Dr. Bell and had an annual which means that it hasn't even been a year since my last. I decided that I didn't want those people looking at my ear and would find a competent doctor with a competent staff that hopefully will give a crap about their patients.
