I've been going there for over a year now and other than one particular counselor, I have nothing but good things to say about Balanced Life. The reception area is always neat and tidy and clean. They have a wall-mounted TV that runs kiddy shows (think Sesame Street). A large, clean, and well-stocked restroom. They even have a mini-fridge with bottles of water and a few other choices. There are magazines to read, and no, not from the 1970s. Actually current. The woman's support group was recommended to me by my therapist. I was told to arrive early in order to complete paperwork and meet the group leader, Morgan. I arrived 15 minutes before the group. Morgan did not meet with me prior to the group. She didn't introduce me to the group, nor did she have the women introduce themselves to me. There was no support group. There was a social group of women making crafts and playing games. This were no topics of discussion that addressed life issues or anything even remotely relevant to a "support group ". I have years of experience in the counseling field and a sewing circle does not constitute a support group. It was a complete waste of my time and money. read more
