This is going to be the most honest and thoughtful review one person can make. I came here 3 months ago not knowing anything about Bakersfield or this RV park. I was in a bind and the price attracted me. I've stayed at many rv parks mostly KOA but never long term. First off this is on the east side of town, so once it gets dark there's no lights on. Management requested 2 months security deposit saying my credit was bad so I gave it to them thinking I would get it back. Everything here is done by money orders something very primitive last time I used one was 30yrs ago I didn't know they still existed. During my stay I'm informed by a employee there that manager steals people's rents and she recorded Donna and she got fired. This place is filled with thieves. The hotel next doors review are all about people breaking into their cars and rooms. Behind the rv park is a homeless encampment and they constantly scour the park to break into rv, cars, storage you name it. No one does anything. They charge you $45/mth for water you can't drink it causes cancer, so if your pet drinks it they will have diarrhea something no one tells you. The place is filled with dog poop everywhere no one cleans after their dogs let alone keeping them on a leash. The tenants are decent some nice but everyone is there because this is the last resort. Orange park rv is far nicer actually any other park is better than here. Now to my security deposit, you have to give them a 30 day notice in writing so I did, they have 21 days by law and they make sure they take their sweet time. I called every other day and the manager made it sound like I'm a nuisance, well If an employee tells you that management is stealing rent money orders from tenants you would be concerned as well. Turns out my security deposit was returned $200 short. I paid $950 they gave me back $750. So if you're thinking about staying here because you don't have money, rv is old or whatever the reason, make sure you can deal with what I wrote in detail. Because they'll be nice to get you in then brush you off once they got you. I had to fight for my deposit back and they still stole $200. There's 100 spots there so if they do this to 20 people a month that's 4k someone is making per month on top of whatever else they steal. Very lucrative thieves here. In fact i I emailed every top employee of BoaVida Communities to get an answer and seems as if they buy and sell these parks using investors money. This place used to be nice, same rv in the pic from 10-20yrs ago are still there it's like a twilight zone. Right next to a freeway, my neighbors car was stolen as she was doing her laundry. At night it's super dark, it's far away from everything decent. You can't walk around without garbage, poop and glass everywhere or homeless people walking up to you. Always on guard to make sure no one steals anything. Then to be worried your rent is gonna get stolen. The girl that worked there got fired for reporting the theft issue now my security deposit got $200 stolen. They know that no one can do much so they take advantage of people, they haven't met karma yet. One day someone will come and throw some acid in their face maybe that will be a reality call for these thieves who prey on the poor. If you don't believe me look at the review for the hotel next door it's called WoodSpring Suites. The homeless live behind that hotel and this rv park. Talk about living in hell. Soon someone will take someone's life for being thieves. I almost got to that point, when you're poor and have cancer you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. We stopped here on our way to Yosemite from the Grand Canyon. We called and got a space the day of, which was absolutely awesome! They have great amenities, clean facilities, lots of green area for our two pups. To make things even better the lady I spoke to on the phone was extremely kind and explained the after hours check in process great. We felt confident we knew what to do once we arrived which made the whole arrival experience stress free and smooth! (They even had a nice "reserved" marker so we knew we were in the right place!) Our spot was close to the bathrooms/showers which was a total plus because we don't use the facilities in our trailer. Bathrooms were very tidy! Value exceeds price! Definitely are happy we decided to make this our stop along the way! read more

We just stayed at this RV park while passing through last night. Reservations were very easy to make, friendly staff, easy after hour checkin. Pull through sites easy to pull in and out of. Facilities clean. We definitely will return to this site. Highly recommended! read more

Nice place .. Shady pull-thru sites.. With grass!! Nice breeze.. Water and electric and a dump station.. A clean pool.. Store.. Laundry .. Pretty much has it all. You can walk to more fast food joints down the street. read more

This place got jipped with the GS ratings, I would rate it higher, especially in comparison with what is around and the value. I paid $26 with Escapees and was totally surprised. All the sites have nice picnic tables & full hook ups with great cable with tons of channels. loads and loads of grass, which is great if you're traveling with a furbuddy. There are nice little table & barbeque areas around and the place is immaculate. Spots are tight, to be sure. But they're well laid out so you don't feel like you're in your neighbor's space. (or their kids are in yours). The freight train does run nearby, but not at night. It didn't bother me at all and I'm a light sleeper. I did not check out the restrooms, but given how tidy the rest of the place is, I would have to figure they are nice enough. All the sites are pull throughs, however some are doubles so if you're the one behind and you leave before the one in front, you may have to back out. I have a little teeny MH, so I'm used to that. If you're a biggie or draggin a toad, you would get your own. Staff is darling and friendly and helpful. Very happy here. read more

This RV park was good enough for a night's stay but the facility is a little dated. The sites are all pull-thrus but there's two sites per pull thru and most sites are occupied by long term residents from what it looked like. The park was over-all pretty clean but the hook-ups had cobwebs all over them and one of the electrical connections didn't work at our site so thank goodness there was another one not too far from it. The road all the way around the park was a bit narrow and long term residents parked along side it so it made it even more narrow. It is pretty convenient to the highway but you do get a lot of the noise from the highway as well as the train coming through town. The staff was super nice though and the residents were too. read more

I love this place. Such a community type atmosphere. Lots of trees and conveniently located near restaurants, stores, and the freeway

easy on/off HWY 58. every spot has lots of shade trees but noise from HWY and trains. bathrooms, showers, laundry and pool are very nice. it is a nice place to stop for a few days. read more
