Not a bad place to sit and have a sticky bun or two (or six if you are a fatty like me), and watch the world go by. Reasonably large seating area and decent quality food. The queues can get quite bad at lunch time and on a saturday but they are fairly efficient at getting through them.
I used to work near here and would swear by their soup and a roll for lunch - really nice on a cold day. The prices are very good - and their pizza baguettes are yummy. I can also recommend the Pecan slices mmmm. I am getting peckish now thinking about it all. I think the key is that all the stuff seems fresh - I have never had one of those'dog-eared' and 'sweaty' day-old sandwich crisis moments in here.
I have however had bad experiences in here in the past with staff being quite rude, I think sometimes they just buckle under the pressure when its busy. But since the management changed (think a bit less battle axe and a bit more mumsy), the staff seem alot happier and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Its not a modern or exciting place as far as theme or decor go - but it does its job. They also do not rush you for the table - which is great if you have got kids who are slower eaters. No baby change facilities - but the centre toilets are literally 30 seconds away and their's are top notch. read more
