He was able to reset the fuse and clean out the vents, which was preventing the dryer from heating the air. All of this he did while explaining what he was doing because I was watching. Now my dryer is working again and he only charged me their flat rate service charge seeing it was more of a maintenance job. He was knowledgeable and polite. I would highly recommend his services and will definitely be calling him again if any of my other appliances need work.

When we walked in we were quickly assisted by staff who made a point to try and find the perfect necklace. When we weren't able to find the one we were looking for, they told us that they would put a few together the next day so that we could see the options. This alone was incredible and we are excited to see what they come up with. This store also had an incredible selection of vintage jewelry. Overall the staff here is great, the merchandise is incredible, and the prices are reasonable. We will make it a point to stop here in the future as well as for our future necklace.

They wouldn't give my Mom a receipt and acted like it wasn't a big deal. (My Mom, a teacher, had worked at Penelope's in Keene as a side job for years and is quite familiar with antique and consignment shops). Since this date, my Mom has made multiple phone calls and visits to the store to speak with the owner and continues to get the runaround from all of the employees, including the owner's Meanwhile, my grandmother's furniture is no where to be found and my Mom has not received a single penny for these high quality/high ticket items. I find it completely disheartening that a business like this is still running in my hometown and hasn't been investigated by the better business bureau to date. It's not a big store, but they have a good turnover, so frequent visits are suggested if you're looking for something specific. We found what we were looking for and more, and we have returned several times. We highly recommend it, along with a visit to Find It in Keene. (See our other review.) We'd suggest avoiding Penelope's in keene, which sells higher priced, lower quality items, in our opinion.
