After we had been turned away by other veterinarians (The abysmal Animal Hospital of High Park) in an emergency situation, Dr.Munn took the time to asses our rabbit after-hours, deemed that immediate surgery was necessary, showed me a step-by-step photo breakdown of the operation he proposed, and was completely upfront about her chances of survival. Not only that, but the staff were more than generous in taking our financial situation into consideration. Three years later, our rabbit is alive and thriving (though minus an eye, several teeth and portions of her jaw) thanks to excellent emergency services and post-op care provided by the Greenwood Park Animal Hospital. Dr. Munn has been her vet ever since, and his attention, expertise and straightforwardness have always been impeccable. I've been consistently pleased with the cheerful desk staff and friendly veterinary assistants, who remember our and our rabbits names. Greenwood Park is the third veterinarian we've patronized in Toronto, and although their location is more than an hour out of our way, they will have our continued patronage for all of our animal care needs. I was an emotional wreck when I got his diagnosis, but the team did a great job of offering genuine empathy and support. They provided me with advice that I use on a daily basis to maintain my cat's health and I've called in on a few occasions to ask for help, which they are always happy to provide. I have also used their pet boarding service - They took good care of my cat and gave him all his special meals and scheduled medication. At my request, they provided me with a detailed report of everything that happened while he was under their care. The cost is on the higher end - Especially for prescription medications. As a result, I prefer to get the prescriptions refilled elsewhere. However, I will continue to bring my pets here for check-ups as the expertise, service and dedication of the vets, techs and admin staff is worth the money.

I asked about the murmer and he said "What murmer? , your dog's heart is fine." It's a terrible shame that Blue Cross has sunk that low to attempt to financially bleed pet owners this way. In the end, when my pet was finally so weak and going to die.... we still went back here to put her down. we waited for over 30 minutes ... her final minutes, in the waiting room... with other healthy animals and cellphones ringing away. One would think that if you are running behind, and someone is bringing their loved one to die... you would give them a call in advance. maybe treat them and THEIR PATIENT in a caring manner. No, why bother... another dollar is another dollar after all. I KNOW this is not necessary... she could've been sedated properly and the process not rushed... where she would not even be conscious of this. This is sloppy bad veteranian work and the way a revolving door business works. And again this is my fault for coming back here. i dont blame them for my pets death... she was old.. and it was inevitiable... but this manner of dealing with living things in such a non passionate way.... it is inexcusable... i should have gone with my gut and never gone here... or worse, kept coming back (they have her file etc etc). this is not an attack on this place or the people that work there..... but this is what i feel in my heart. for real. all of these reviews... i have no idea how they exist... all of my friends told me to not go here. i didnt listen. my little girl is gone now. First of all, we asked for a checkup, our dog has a wound on his foot, the doctor removed to bandage to check and did not cover the wound again for the following procedures. They ignore the fact that an end of life animal will also feel pain! Their euthanasia procedure is they need to bring our dog to the back for the group of "technicians" (I guess those are students in fact) to insert the IV device on his foreleg to prepare for the injection later. Those people have made my dog screaming and trying to escaping and the clinic did not let us stay with him. We are so regret and feel so heartbreaking during those 10 mins torture on our dog. How comes those people did not give some tranquillizer to my dog before that procedure and make him suffer so much before his end of life! The only reason I can think of if they want to allow the "technicians" to learn to do that task under different situations. This clinic was companionate years ago and it has been growing, however, I found that they are more and more commercialized in recent years. This is very sad to see. Although my dog's end of life result is the same, but the experience going through is very unpleasant and has created horrible memory to us.

I spayed my girl cat in 2007, at a vet clinic near Bloorcourt village. A much more invasive procedure comes with the price tag. My tip money for two weeks went to the $250 dollar vet bill for second shots and spaying. This is normal, anaesthesia, cutting in, maneuvering a small feline body to do an ovariohysterectomy = money! I took my baby boy cat to the Davenport Rd Vet Clinic in 2010. I asked for a quote for the neutering, as I realized the prices may be high (considering the first consultation cost $170 unexpected dollars). What was the quote? $500. CRAZY! Do not go here. The care and customer service do not equate to that kind of bill, I don't care how much you love your pet. The prices are probably high due to location. Annex, Forest Hill, Yorkville, in the clinic's backyard. Unfortunately, I am not a doctor making 6 digits. I love my guys, but I found a nicer vet, for a much more reasonable price, in the exact same area.

From the front desk staff, to the cleanliness, to the speed and efficiency of all staff, to - most importantly - the knowledge, competency and kindness of the doctors, it's everything I want in a vet. My elderly cat has a few health complications. Recently, some new symptoms cropped up that were very concerning to me. My regular vet was away so I turned to Bickford Park. Dr. Asha Hoffland took my concerns seriously, listened compassionately, took in my cat's entire health history, and then discussed in detail all my options for testing to get a diagnosis. It was a tricky diagnosis, involving a few steps of testing, but I felt zero pressure. We went at the pace I was comfortable with so I could make informed decisions at each step. Dr Asha spoke with specialists and colleagues outside of her practice about my cat's case, as the diagnosis is a bit rare, to ensure he was getting the best care (No additional charge to me). She helped me figure out the best care for him at home, and I'm very happy that the symptoms resolved and he's doing better. These people know what they are doing and they care. The follow up calls and emails from the Dr and clinic staff also make that very clear. Since then, I had to take him back for another issue and we received the same excellent care, this time from a different doctor, Dr. Helen Foster. I'm a healthcare professional and I research issues and read studies on animal care. I've sometimes gone to vets and felt like they were working off old knowledge, or that I had to teach them about diabetic care for cats (proper food, insulin, etc.). Not so at Bickford Park. We were clearly on the same page and I felt I could trust them implicitly, which is a huge relief to me. I know this review is epic. Most of you won't read this, haha. My cat is diabetic so he needs food that normal pet supply shops do not carry, which if you ask me is a pain in the ass because only veterinaries are allowed to carry these specialty foods... Which means they are going to rip you off! However after calling around to check the prices on Purina DM (Diabetic Management) Links Road seemed to be much lower then most places so this is where I pick up my cat food! Who knew I would end up buying from a Bird and small animal Clinic, especially when they do not accept cats here. I just hope they continue to order the food in because it is a great price!
