Where do I start with this, so much to tell, but don't want to ramble…read more I first started following her ALMS on IG and gave it a shot and placed my first order of cookies for a baby shower. Those mermaid cookies was too adorable and delicious. Samantha puts a lot of quality and care in creating each piece, you can see that in her cookies. Again, I ordered a cake, cupcakes, desserts, and cookies fo my mom's birthday party. Everything tasted great, and everything was beautiful. Her products was a big hit at our party and made it so special. My most recent order was for Thanksgiving. I ordered a tray of chantilly brownies, fruity pebbles mini cupcakes, pumpkin squares, and lemon tarts. Big hit, everyone couldn't get enough of the delicious deserts. What I really appreciate about Samantha, is she will give you ideas if you are having trouble thinking of a dessert plan to match your party theme. I sent her my mom's invitation, and party decorations, and she came up with the cake decoration and cookies that matched perfectly. She has never let me down and has always been on time with my orders. As busy as Samantha is, she has been reliable in responding to my messages to her. She is also so friendly and appreciates her customers.

But my 60th birthday was March 23rd, I ordered my cookies on March 6th and received them on April…read more29th. When I ask why so late she said that they had messaged me and no response, she could also have called which they did not. then I said if you did not get a response then you should cancel the order since you can not just guess on the date which is what she did. the cookies are useless to me. So I have to now think of where to take them to and find who wants to eat them, 18 people. Thank you so much for putting a damper on my special day and the apology that I got was that I should go and file a case with Esty. I paid $151 for 18 cookies. I hope your business continues to do well.

I had a really difficult time finding a bakery to do my cake for my wedding in Las Vegas. I think…read moreit had something to do with my wedding being the day after Thanksgiving. Cakes on a Mission was actually recommended to me by the only other bakery who even responded to my inquiries. I was impressed. Cakes on a Mission also donates some of the proceeds from each cake to charity, another aspect of their business I was really impressed with. I've admitted before that I was completely not a bride-y bride for my wedding, and this carried over into my wedding cake. I really ordered a wedding cake b/c it was (for some reason) really important to my mom. And since I was dragging my family to Vegas for my wedding the day after Thanksgiving, and wasn't having the big wedding at home in Chicago, I gave in and decided to order a cake. See above, where this turned out to not be an easy process. Other bakeries just would not call/email/anything me back. But in swoops Christina from Cakes on a Mission, and she takes care of everything. She's obviously really passionate about what she does and (rightly) takes pride in her work. She was the only vendor in ALL my Vegas wedding plans that I didn't have to constantly hunt down. She contacted me, followed up, and (god bless her) put up with my lack of imagination and forethought re:wedding cake. She was awesome. We decided on a simple, classic, with Vegas themed cake. I chose red velvet cake with cream cheese filling for one layer and vanilla-bean with raspberry mouse for the other. The red-velvet was amazing, everyone said so. And the cake design was exactly what I wanted. Christina instilled so much confidence that I didn't really think about the cake, until we got to the reception and I was so happy to see it there waiting for us. I can't say how the vanilla bean cake layer was b/c its at home in the freezer. Yep, me, the girl who really didn't want to bother with the cake became so attached to it, that I had the top layer wrapped up, frozen, boxed, and shlepped it all through the rest of our trip, made it my carry-on, sat with it at the airport for 10+ hours of flight delays and finally got it home. My bridal shoes and bouquet were not this lucky. Oh and Christina was also the only vendor who followed up after the wedding, and was much appreciated. I loved this cake!

Cakes on a Mission by Christina is definitely As good as it gets!…read more Christina made our wedding cake HER MISSION! What a beautiful, wonderful, and of course DELICIOUS cake and display. My wife and I were looking to have a unique cake for our wedding, preferably by someone whose product and expertise we knew that we could trust. When we were beginning to plan our wedding, someone suggested that we check out Cakes on a Mission and the products on their website/Facebook. We did and we were (obviously!) impressed. Once we talked to Christina about doing our wedding cake, she let us try an array of her signature cake and icing flavors. We took the samples home and wrapped up the next evenings dinner by taste-testing the cake combinations. The flavors just melted in our mouths! Wow. We knew we had to look no further for someone to bake our wedding cake! As far as cake design goes, Christina is more than adept at making any cake dream a reality. We were unsure of how we wanted our cake to look, but we knew that we wanted something that would exemplify our love for each other, our uniqueness, our relationship, and our commitment to serving God. (My wife and I have been doing a cross-country faith-walk as a witness for/commitment to Jesus Christ.) It wasn't until just about two weeks before our wedding day that we decided on our cake design, but Christina was still able to make it look EXACTLY as we wanted!! We chose the vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream icing for the base of the cake (the world) and the red velvet cake with cream cheese icing for our top tier (the bible) [see photo on storefront]. We told Christina what we wanted and approximately how many people we were expecting to attend and she BLEW OUR EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE WATER! The cake we delicious, perfect, beautiful, and very sufficient for the amount of guests we had. In fact, there was almost no cake leftover after everyone had their second/third/etc. helping! What a blessing Cakes on a Mission was for our big day. (For proof of Christina's eye for design, definitely check out her website and the photos of our cake that I've uploaded to the storefront of this Yelp page. This is the first review on Yelp that I've written so I'm not exactly sure how you can access that... BUT I created a profile on here just to review this business. That just goes to show that I felt Cakes on a Mission was more than worthy of my recommendation and rating.) Her service, delivery, showcasemenship (think i just made up a word), promptness, communication, and kindness were impeccable. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. We recommend Cakes on a Mission to anyone and EVERYONE in the Las Vegas and North Las Vegas area planning any kind of party or celebration. Thank you Christina. You definitely helped make our big day a huge success.
