Rather big portions and costs like 8 - 7.5 euros to eat in, 6.5 to take away. Despite a cheaper price, taste-wise beats any of the city's expensive Chinese restaurants (13-15 euros per dish).

I have to berate the waitresses though. Granted, there was only two of them but unless you called them quite graphically they did not stop by to ask if there was anything we needed. That on top of them running around in a hurry not looking at us made for a looong wait for the bill... long enough for us to decide skipping dessert! All in all a positive experience, just a bit of a bummer in the end left a bad vibe.

A new place in Tampere. Somehow involved with one of the most famous Finnish (TV) chefs, Hans…read moreVälimäki, so the expectations were high. Somekind of high end Asian/fusion kitchen by Finnish chefs. Probably most people know these TV chefs, who go to travel to Asia etc and then start their own Asian flavored restaurant. Not so typical here in Tampere but definitely this is one of them. Taking bits around East Asia but made by European chefs and touches. Positive things: - Good ingredients - Good basic level - Alternative for cheap Chinese restaurants - Asian flavored - Good location Negative things: - VERY slow service (we took a menu with two main courses, we had to wait the second main course 20-30mins after the first one) - Pricey: this is not yet fine dining but the prices are high. Maybe due to use of the famous chef - Some food not quite the general standards (ribs were very chewy for example, wasabi was very mild...) Like my companion said afterwards: she prefers Maruseki over this at any day, which is one of the few compatible restaurants to Masu in Tampere. ps. We felt maybe it would be better to have several food at the same time as in Asia rather than having French style course after course.

This place would have gotten 5 stars if the weekend prices werent so extravagant! However the staff is prompt and friendly, the food areas are kept clean, and the unitensils were spot on! I would 100 recommend this place to anyone looking for a good chinese food place!

It suffices to say the pizzas generally aren't really your strictly traditional Italian variant. There's that personal touch with years of experience thrown in. The pizzas are box-filling large with plenty of fillings. There's sometimes a hurried feel to them that you see but likely won't taste. It's a busy restaurant at times with the phone constantly ringing. The place itself has a worn out feel to it, but it's comfortable. The salad bar (included) is mediocre on the best of days. Skip it, unless you are terribly hungry. There's decent roadside parking. Note that you need a parking disc.

Most locals…read moreorder out from this place because it is so cheap only 6.5€ per portion and the portions are really big. If you are headed to eat there be sure to go at times of no rush. Some years ago it was ranked as the best Chinese restaurant in Tampere. I wouldn't give that award anymore if they don't put more effort in quality and taste. Food: Most of the time food is average and sometimes it's really good and sometimes it's just plain. We have been going here for a couple of years and ate the whole list and nowadays ordering the same portions from time to time and I can say that the quality of the food varies a lot. Chili chicken is sometimes spicy and really good but most of the times it's just chicken in soy sauce with vegetables. So if you want it spicy I would ask for it separately but beware sometimes when I've done it has really been spicy and I do like it but there's a fine line. Environment: The place is really really really small. Probably around 10-15 customer seating. Decorations are your generic chinese restaurant things but still you get a cozy feeling of the family who runs the place. Service: Service has always been pretty fast. Around 10-15min when ordering take out. People are happy and speak some Finnish but you get the job done. Price: Possibly the cheapest chinese restaurant in Tampere. I'd say it's good value for the money at least for take out. It's open until 10pm and 6.5€ per portion and you will eat two times from that portion if you aren't Hulk.
