This station is clean, well organized, & had cafes, book stores, a supermarket, and a lounge all inside. There is even an Ibis hotel right outside the station so you could easily stay there for a late night arrival or early departure. I also saw lockers for storage if you just needed them for a few hours. You can catch a street-car outside the station or walk to old town in about 13 minutes.

At the top is an interactive museum of Alpine flora and fauna as well as a great little Beer Garden. The views from the top are breathtaking, and also gives you the opportunity to stand on the Germany and Austria border atop the Alps. Overall this is a 5 star experience but 1 star is removed due to the fact that they say they don't accept credit cards. This is a large tourist destination, and really should for the price accept cards. Keep in mind when you come back to the bottom to turn your ticket back in to get a refund so they can re-use it much like a ski resort. A must do while in Mittenwald.

It's a very easy airport to land- probably the thing I like most is that when I do fly in there's…read moreless than 6 people on the plane- so it's a very underserved airport - I see the luggage belt turn on for 5min and turn off because there's so few luggage's running through. The airport has some amenities inside, washroom, sitting area. It's just a relaxing place to be because it's under serviced. Taking the public bus from the train station at 6am- it was sardines, perhaps additional buses could help with the traffic volume as some people take the airport bus to go to places too? The security line was simple- and long being that there wasn't much traffic. There is a tax free receipt box but I didn't spend $75 at a single business- it was a collection of multiple businesses so apparently I was not eligible for the tax refund? There were employees handing out individually packed wafers in the airport I guess to bolster review and respond for marketing the airport- but I was briefly stopping in- so I don't think I could comment on that. There was a lounge but not accessible through my credit card lounge network.

This could be my favourite airport I've ever travelled through. It's close to town which is a huge…read morebonus and the small size means you don't need to undergo marathon training in preparation for the inevitable mad dash to your gate before it closes. Plus the staff are great and seem to actually enjoy their jobs. It makes a tiring day of travelling so much more bearable. Good job, Innsbruck!

The station itself is nothing special and really not worth writing about. However it looks to a nice view and sitting and waiting for the train was almost enjoyable.
