The 4 stats of the hotel are well deserved, one of the best 4 stars in years ( and I live like 300 days a year in hotels ) Free wifi with 6Mbps! The breakfast is tasteful and offers quality bread and meat. The evening restaurant was fully packed the two days I dinned there and rightfully so. Good quality food for a decent price. I will return here. A small deduction cause the minibar was not cooled.

And when a lade came out of the building and went across the street with basket of fresh croissant to offer us a snack, she had me at hello :) Luitpold is also very well situated at beautiful lake Tangersee. All rooms with the lake view are nicely decorated and have their own balconies. The street is busy, as it goes around the lake, but the view compensates it. One thing that also coughs my attention is bathroom. Very well arranged so you have place to put your stuff exactly where you want it to be (including shelf under the shower). The only thing I am deducting one star is due to poor wifi. Not reachable by phone, breaking up with the computer. Nowadays it is a standard and when they improve it, 5 stars will appear!

And sat down in the biergarten of Gasthof zur Mauth. Overlooking the other restaurants in the area, it was very comfortable. We had a Wiener schnitzel and spätzle for kids. Everything was delicious. The service was excellent. What I really liked is the fact that none of the dishes had French fries. In my option to many restaurant use French fries with their dishes. If you want to change , you have to pay extra. Here you have many dishes with parsley potatoes. All in all very good and comfortable dinner. And enjoyable experience.

The Knoblach sauce (or garlic sauce) can be added to any dish for amazing flavor. Entire slices of garlic in the brown sauce, poured over pork cutlets or a beef filet. I guarantee anything you pick on the menu will be a great choice. Can't wait to go back.
