We wanted a one night get away so glad we found this "boutique" hotel right on the beach. We were amazed at the price and very glad we booked... but next time we will book direct with them and not through a third party. When you book with them directly, you can tell them what type of room you need and exactly what you are looking for. We asked for a handicapped accommodation since we needed a walk in shower and it was just what we asked for. The room has a quaint kitchenette with all that you need if you want to cook something quick or just make sandwiches. It has a toaster and a coffee maker too. Bring your own paper towels, though. The only thing I did not like was that our entrance door to the room had a BIG gap at the bottom where you could see the light coming in from the hallway. I had to put a sheet at the bottom of the door to block this and for more privacy... at least for us. We loved speaking with the staff as it felt like talking with a next door neighbor that knew everything that we wanted to know. The pool deck has plenty of chairs and an area just for sun bathing and you a literally on the beach shore. Out the gate and on the sand. We are definitely coming back for another romantic getaway. read more

We stayed here Valentines Day 2026 - Saturday night, the night before the Daytona 500 to attend an event at the Ocean Center. Staff were super friendly; the lobby area and dining room were kept immaculately clean. They have a small exercise room, a great pool, and a hot tub. They have parking all around the exterior of the hotel and an overflow parking in an underground garage. I actually preferred parking in the garage because the elevator takes you right to the lobby or your floor, very convenient! Our room was 606 and it had a spectacular view of the beach, skyline, neighboring hotels, and street. We also had a balcony with two seats which were great. The room was very nice and has been modernized with new kitchen equipment, faucets, a medium sized refrigerator, television, USB charging lamps and receptacles, and free WIFI (no password required). Overall, we were quite happy with our room; however, there were some issues. (1) One of our pillow cases was filthy. It either had makeup/dirt and lipstick/or blood on it. It was Nasty so we just threw it to the side and grabbed one of the backups in the closet for the evening. (2) The toilet does not have its own door on it. The bathroom is large enough for two people to multitask in there when getting ready and the toilet is somewhat closed in with its own wall so why not just add the door, pocket door, or at the very least an accordion door for privacy. (3) For the amount of money guests spend to stay at this hotel why don't they provide coffee or tea in the lobby as part of the guest's amenities. We always look forward to a hot cup of coffee in the lobby of where were staying, once we get settled-in. Their coffee machine is on lockdown until the continental breakfast; alternatively, the coffee in the room is pretty bland. (4) The continental breakfast is nothing special but at least they do offer one, so thank you for that. The breakfast consists of mostly carbohydrates - packaged muffins and Danishes (still partially frozen), packaged grits, oatmeal, and cereal. Packaged bagels, Yoplait Yogurt with the Biomechanically Engineered Ingredients Included. The only thing someone prepared was pancakes. I literally arrived right when they opened at 7:30am and the pancakes were stuck together and somewhat damp like they were cooked an hour ago and kept in this warmer. The only protein you will find is hardboiled eggs and Jiff Peanut Butter. The coffee was ok, but not strong enough for me, too much like coffee water. It was better than nothing at all but I still think they could do better. Overall, we were pretty happy with our stay. The only thing that creeped me out was that dirty pillow. I don't know how that was missed during the cleaning process; regardless, if I needed a place to stay again while partying at the Ocean Center I would return. read more

I stayed at Bahama House for 3 nights during spring break with my children. Overall we had a great time. The hotel is right on the beach, the pool was heated, and there is a hot tub. It was in a good location, near downtown and other "non-beach" activities. The hotel provides pool towels (super small, keep that in mind), and many of the guests leave toys, etc so other children can play with them. I thought this was cool as the kids had a variety of toys to keep them occupied. The hotel has free breakfast and a free cocktail hour daily. The breakfast is alright. They had pancakes, yogurt, fruit, had boiled eggs, and cereal. The coffee was surprisingly good, and there was also juice and water available. Keep in mind none of these items are available outside of breakfast hours. So if you want milk, for example, grab during breakfast because they literally lock the refrigerator otherwise. The cocktail hour is great. There is beer, wine, and sodas available. You can get as many as you want during the hour. I thought the room was great. I chose an ocean view room with a mini fridge/microwave. I chose this room as I wanted more of an ocean view. It was the same price as a partial ocean view with a full kitchen, but the view was more important to me. I learned ocean view is not the same as ocean front, so my view wasn't what I expected, but it was still great. My only two problems were that the pillows were extremely soft, no firmness at all, and there was no tub. Oh, also, the toilet didn't have a lid. I prefer to close the toilet lid when flushing so this was definitely a negative for me. Two nights in a row I had an issue with the night shift front desk lady (same woman both nights). The first night I was trying to get a fork so I wanted to see if the breakfast area had something available. She didn't even get up from her chair which was in the doorway of their back office, not even close to the front desk. She told me she didn't know if there were any forks and made no other effort to assist me. The next incident was the following night when my kids and I got stuck in the elevator. I asked her if they were going to fix the elevator as there were only two for the whole hotel, and again, didn't get up from her chair in the doorway and basically told me "they" were doing everything they could. Back to the elevator situation. We were stuck in the elevator for about 5-7 minutes and when it was opened, the maintenance man immediately started berating us for getting stuck in the elevator. There are signs in the elevator stating not to hold the door open by the door, but only using button inside of the elevator. So he accused us of holding the doors open incorrectly, causing us to get stuck. It left a terrible taste in my mouth and hated being treated that way as a guest. I would've given this hotel 4 stars, but after the treatment from the elevator maintenance man and the night shift front desk woman, this definitely went down to a 3. read more

I have never felt so discriminated in this country. We were called by another guess Mexicans complaining of some members in our paety. The maintenance personel knocked in the door asking for out ice bucket because some guess complained that the Mexicans through the ice bucket down from 8th floor. Not only we had our ice bucket there but had to listed to the head of maintenance talk to the maintenence employee in our room...go in and look out for the 2 Mexican Hispanic guys and the ice bucket...this is so unaceptable behavior feom the hotel personel. In addition...other guess in the same floor call us Mexican thinking that all Hispanics are Mexicans not knowing that we were not Mexicans.... We had a car emergency and had to extend our stay...asked to pay for boyh our rooms full price to stay for at least until 3 or 4...the hotel had rooms available in expedia, online and in many other platforms with the same description as our rooms...we called Expedia where we made the reservation for the same type of room...and the booked another night and the hotel said they did not had the same room available asking g us to move our father with brain cancer surgery from the room with all his belonging. The hotel looks good for the price but unless you know you will be leaving on time without an emergency...don't stay here specially if Hispanic. Asked for the manager since Friday to address the hispanic situation and then for the need to stay until 4 and pay for another night and today was Sunday and still waiting. The front desk refused to take a message saying that if we want to talk to the manager...we need to keep calling her as she never calls back the guesses... Sent an emergency email to Nancy the manager with no response either. Back to the hotel Breakfast is not good at all. There is very limited parking. Pool is good and the hotel has a nice view. The area is dead and most businesses under repairs. I would not stay here again anyway and don't reccomend it at all. Each room has a balcony and it is right on the beach, beautiful location, friendly staff all the amenities you need just not in a very modernized area. She responded that the signs had been posted long enough for everyone to know about the water situation. She also said that someone could bring a bucket of water to flush the toilet. We found this place on Expedia, and it was soo cheap. When we got there, the staff greeted us with welcoming arms. The lady who does the FREE continental breakfast, Erin, was so nice and sweet, she made sure everything was fresh. They also have a FREE cocktail hour from 5:30pm-6:30 pm. Our room, was the best. We got the King bed with sleeper sofa. The bed and the whole room was VERY CLEAN AND SMELLED CLEAN. We had a kitchenette, everything we needed was there. We had such a relaxing time. We will definately be back!! I highly reccommend this boutique hotel if you are looking for some R & R. If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! The view from our room was soo beautiful. The view from our room was just georgeous! It is only a 3 minute car ride to the boardwalk, pier, "Eat at Joe's" Restaurant. Alsoo, the downtown area is in the same place. 7/6-9/2018 - WEEKEND STAY CELEBRATION SURPRISE I didn't know where we would be staying the weekend of the NASCAR race and I was so happy to drive up to this hotel. Parking is on-site and they also have a garage. When we walked through the glass doors into the lobby, we smelled the Ocean Breeze, literally, it was a scent candle they have. The lobby has an island vibe with light colors including a sky blue color on the walls and sand wash on the floors. The lady who checked us in at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I have to say all the ladies we encountered on this trip at the desk were very friendly. Our room was located on the 7th floor. Every door had a cute painted house on the door with its name, ours was Black Point. When we opened the door, I was so impressed by how huge this room was. It had a full kitchen minus the oven stocked with all the silverware, cups, plates, pans, utensils you could need. The bathroom was very spacious. The room had two queens, super comfortable, a table with chairs and a sofa chair. The balcony was incredible overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and well stocked. It has a microwave and a coffee maker. (You have to bring your own coffee and filters) We brought food and beverage with us. We ended up making breakfast every day and eating it on our balcony looking out at our beautiful view. They offer complimentary continental breakfast but, since we went to a Gold's Gym in the area early morning, we ended up missing it. Another plus, was their complimentary Happy Hour in their lounge. We were able to enjoy it one day. They had some finger food snacks like gold fish, chex mix, nuts, etc. On Sunday, we spent the day at the beach and cooled off at the pool. They also have a hot tub which we used as well. Our room attendant was Marjorie and she was wonderful. We asked for towels and shampoo at one point and someone from housekeeping came right away. For the price I paid I was pleasantly surprised. The night clerk was very nice and offered a teacher discount for the daily rate! Love that. Rooms were ok. Views made up for it. Seemed cleaned except the one bed had stains on the sheet. Continental bfast was pretty standard nothing fancy. Love the proximity to the beach. Pool area was very cute and they offer beach towels. The hotel rooms are FILTHY. We arrived to our first room and found many things. There was a cockroach in the bathroom to start, pubes and hair on the bedsheets, and the sheets were dirty. The room also had a wet dog/cheese smell. The elevator smelled like weed. We informed the concierge, who was helpful, and switched rooms. In the second room, the light fixture was broken off the wall, there was also another cockroach in the room, and dust was on the ceiling. in the bathroom, there was hair on the floor. Near the window, we could see water damage and mold along the floor of the wall. I want to start by saying that this property was lovely. We booked a four night stay with an ocean front room & genuinely enjoyed our time here! The renovations to the property were modern and the staff worked hard to keep everything clean! They provide a complimentary cocktail hour every day with handmade drinks and a small selection of beers. The cocktails were strong and delicious! Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel! My biggest complaint is that the weather damage to the beach access was still not resolved by mid July (the peak of vacation season). All of the surrounding hotels managed to accommodate guests with beach access, even if it were a temporary solution. I understand storm damage is unavoidable, but seeing how our property was the only one STILL under construction was disappointing. Rather than being able to walk to the beach directly from the patio, we had to leave the the main lobby, walk along the road to get to the public access. Though it was close enough, it was very inconvenient going to-and-from the hotel every time you wanted to go to the beach. The staff gave zero direction or explanation on how to access the beach from their property. AND THE CONSTRUCTION TRUCKS WERE SO LOUD from 7AM-3PM, right outside our room. The hotel didn't give any prior notice of ongoing construction and it really was such a bummer during our stay. The breakfast was also a 1/10. The staff seemed overwhelmed with so many guests that you'd be very lucky to get a single hot breakfast item. We ended up utilizing our room kitchen instead of the non-existent "free" breakfast. Despite some issues, I do recommend staying here. The ocean front rooms are an excellent price and the construction issues will eventually be resolved. I really have no qualms about this place. When I stayed here it was being renovated so otherwise I would give it a 5 star. Room was clean and right over the ocean. Literally. You could hear the waves crashing and see the ocean, it was refreshing and relaxing simultaneously. It even came with a kitchen, but not a cheesy one, so you felt like you were in a kitchenette motel etc. it felt just right. The pool also led right out to the beach, which was never really very busy. Which was great. Even during Covid, they served fresh food downstairs for breakfast included with stay healthy high was nice. Room service was attained via scanning a code on menu in room and then having it delivered by third party. I was very happy very my two night stay. It was quiet and i loved the staff. Although,it was rather uncomfortable when more times than not an employee would be taking up most of the elevator with their work cart or laundry basket. Get a separate elevator for your employees. Typical continental breakfast , neither good or bad . Not too pricey 203 a night so I wasn't expecting 5 stars. The ocean view was outstanding! Kitchenette was nice to have also . Honestly, this is a very nice hotel We stay in Daytona a lot but we always stay in really expensive hotels , and this is one of the best hotels that we probably had in a while and it was on the cheaper side they serve free complementary drinks and breakfast in the mornings. No other hotels do that. The only thing that bothered me was that it was a pretty long walk to the pier there and back was about 4 miles .but we had an oceanfront view room floor 6 and it was really pretty Right on the water. Can't beat that! The view was worth the walk to the pier . All of the staff They all seem very nice and friendly. We usually don't have any room service or cleaning done in our room while we stay at hotels, but when we ask for extra towels and soaps, they were given to us and she was very nice we made sure to give her a tip . And we always make sure to leave the rooms nice and clean before we leave. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. read more

Been staying in this hotel for three years now in January, every time we have come here theres been construction, as they are making improvements. They have changed some of the furniture, beds you can still feel and hear the springs, not very comfortable, pillows are hard, we bring our own. Table in the room has a different design so can stretch out under it, we always get the ocean front as we enjoy hearing the ocean and the view. Looks like we will be finding a new place to stay next year, we were hoping for some new mattresses and pillows this time but no. Happy hour isn't very happy now, folks get 1 item at front desk and cant mingle in the Bahama room, must take back to your room. Fantasy Island!!! My Birthday Celebration was above and beyond. The special one delivered me to this Boutique Hotel and I will say I was surprised. First things first can you say HAPPY HOUR FREE DRINKS!!! Upon arrival i was overjoyed to see my name on the readernoard wishing me a happy birthday. The hotel it's grand but it's elegant in the wonderful ways of personal care. I can say the service was above and beyond don't judge a book by its cover this hotel is a gem. The view from our room was amazing and relaxing the room it self was clean and comfortable all our needs were met. I truly enjoyed our stay and FANTASY ISLAND was a success. I have been here a few times. You may not be aware but 99% of the hotels in Daytona are over priced motels. This one is a tad better. What made it better in the past was the customer service. No longer. I ordered an ocean view room as I always have and ended up getting a room on the back side of the hotel with a partial view of the ocean. They tried to tell me "ocean front" rooms are the actual ocean view and side partial ocean view rooms are "ocean view" Misleading advertisements like this, especially when it's a repeat customer your screwing over, will cost you my business and hopefully others after reading this. If you're going to stay here. Don't bother paying for a nicer room. Otherwise choose a different place. Im in Daytona every year for this race and they just lost my business for good. read more

I've been coming to this hotel since I was a kid. Over the years, they've improved most of the rooms and perks. They're newest feature is room service! I didn't try it on this visit, but I noticed the lobby was upgraded and modernized. There is always continental breakfast in the morning and happy hour in the evening. I would recommend looking ahead to reserve here, they may be independent, but the prices are boutique. Something that needs upgrading are the TVs in room. I did donuts in my car like Mater from the movie Cars.. just sayin'. ------------- - - - - - LOCATION was perfect. We were just a stones throw in either direction from all the activities we planned.. We were traveling with another family and used the gathering room on the main floor to schedule our days during breakfast and evenings during the free happy hour every night @ 5:30. It was a great social hour for meeting other guests and swapping travel stories and other experiences. But alas, not all things are perfect here. The hotel does show it's age, particularly in the bathrooms where you will find rust around the base of the tubs. Also, if there was a complaint to be made it would be concerning the mattresses. They were a little too firm for me and I woke up most every day in a little pain. I was able to correct this problem however by requesting several additional pillows, which were wonderful. These really are some of the best hotel pillows I've ever rested my head on. BREAKFAST is basic. Bagels, bread for toasting, danishes, orange juice, coffee milk and a small assortment of cereals. Just enough to get your metabolism going in the morning. ------------- - - - - - THE VERDICT For the money, this is a fantastic hotel find. 3 Stars for a hotel with ocean views in Daytona Beach. This hotel is on the older side and the rooms show it. From an extremely musty smell to dark rimmed tiles, overall moisture on all my books, and unfortunate decor it doesn't stand out as the best option in the area. One major bummer was that the hot tub was out of order our whole stay. The pool was usable but quite small but you could use their lounge chair if you wanted- facing the ocean! Next time I might bring small beach chairs. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Though note that it's all prepackaged breakfast items (bagel, mini croissant, cereal, etc.). It's a quick and easy option if your on a budget. The mini fridge and microwave in the rooms work well for that too! Overall pretty decent for the price, but unfortunately the rooms just didn't feel clean. There was the black mildew on the side of the the bathroom tiles and I never felt the room got dry (the clothes I would lay out on the bed would end up wet after an hour). read more

Our room was $136.99 per night on not only a Holiday weekend but a huge Daytona event weekend ( Turkey Run 2013) We had a total of 3 room and each room was consistently clean and well stocked with coffee, coffee pot, towels, plates, mugs, glasses and extra blankets. I loved that each room had it's own microwave, full size refrigerator and counter top stove for cooking. Although we did not cook in the room I liked having the option to cook and I was so happy being able to bring our left overs back to the room for midnight muching. Rooms were very spacious and the view of the beach was priceless. Bathrooms were a good size as well and could definitely fit two girls getting ready together. Each room had a full size mirror along the entrance hallway. A lot of hotels don't offer that and they should. Who wants a half view of their ensemble when they are getting ready to hit the town? Not this gal..... We ate all our meals out but you could smell the bagels toasting all through out the lobby in the morning. They offer a complimentary breakfast of bagels, toast, cereal, fruit and pastries. Some of our friends had the free breakfast and said it was a decent lay out and very clean. They also offer a complimentary happy hour in the early evening but again we didn't want to miss out on any of the Turkey Run Festivities so we skipped the freebe cocktails and headed out. LOVED our stay here!! I found this hotel on Groupon and we got exactly what we wanted!! It was great to enjoy the happy hour and the hot tub/ pool! My husband and I spent one morning walking to the pier and back and it was great! The staff was friendly, rooms were well stocked, everything in our room worked! Bahama House is a hidden Gem! We stayed here in June 1999 for our honeymoon and finally made the decision to stay here again. Arrived in September 2015 and were very pleased to find the look was the same. It has a tropical feel as soon as you walk in the lobby. The desk staff was very helpful and pleasant. They explained the new key system and other updates. They informed us of daily free breakfast from 7:30-9:30 and happy hour with free drinks and snacks from 5:30-6:30. We requested a high room for the amazing beach view. Our room was on the 8th floor. It was bright & clean with yellow painted walls and had a matching tropical feel similar to the decor in the lobby. The Bathroom was clean with a tub and shower. There was a mini stove, microwave and a full fridge in the room which made keeping snacks and drink on hand very easy. We dropped our luggage and headed for the balcony. Simply breathtaking!! We could see nearly 10 miles down the beach in each direction. We then headed down for happy hour expecting the usual 1 drink per customer limit as with other hotels. NOT here! You can have as much as you desire with in the hour! We were very very pleased at the drink selection. Soda, wine, beer and mixed drinks from the mini bar. The pool was fairly large and clean. The hot tub also nice seating aout 12 comfortably. There are lounge chairs all the way around along with umbrella tables and chairs if you want to enjoy a meal at the pool. There is beach access from the pool. Once through the gate there are more lounge chairs for beach use. After a nice walk on the beach or a swim there is a shower and foot rinse available right before entering the gate to cut down on the sand in the pool. This was very handy! Breakfast wasnt a tiny continental, they had every breakfast food one could want. Eggs, toast bagels, donuts, danishes, pancakes, waffles, fruit, juices and more. We never had or wanted to eat breakfast away from our hotel. This hotel is a three minute drive from the boardwalk and water park. It's about 10-15 minutes from the race track. There are many local stores for anything you can need on your stay. (Target, walgreens and such) We are very glad we make the decision to return. I can't wait for next time!!! read more

We just traveled from Florida to Mass in 13 days and had quite a few overnights in several places. The family voted the Bahama House their favorite. The location was phenomenal, the room was very spacious for our family of 5 and they had happy hour and breakfast. We missed happy hour but the breakfast was decent. The room was very clean and the staff we encountered were so nice and helpful!! We will be back for sure. Best part for kids was seeing the dolphins swimming with us in the morning. read more

Giving a 2 star rating because the view is amazing. Other than that do NOT recommend . The rooms feel wet The AC barely keeps it cold it's 2:03am as I'm writing this unable to Sleep due to how hot it is.. the room was ok cleanliness wise has some issues but nothing major. For this price I would stay elsewhere. Was a 2 star but when I got up this am to take a shower no HOT water called down and was told they are aware of it and working on fixing it .... Feels like I'm in a run down motel to be honest oh and found a cockroach last night in the shower smh read more

Over-all, this hotel is pretty nice. I loved the ocean view from our room! The staff members were very kind & courteous! The rooms are a bit outdated though, so hopefully they'll do some upgrading soon. I had a small concern about the bathroom, it looked pretty old & there were a few rust/water stains a long the tub & tile... it didn't seem clean. However, the rest of the room was beautiful & very neat/clean. The room was serviced every morning & clean towels were brought in. The "continental breakfast" advertisement was very misleading... every thing offered was pre-packaged. It would've been nice to have hot meal(s) provided. That would've made the stay a lot better! Again, over-all, the hotel is pretty nice... with a few hiccups here & there. Yet, I felt the ocean view outweighed the hiccups! It was heavenly to wake up to such an amazing view! And to also be able to sit out on the patio & enjoy it. I'd certainly stay again, for that reason alone read more
