I stayed at Bahama House for 3 nights during spring break with my children. Overall we had a great time. The hotel is right on the beach, the pool was heated, and there is a hot tub. It was in a good location, near downtown and other "non-beach" activities. The hotel provides pool towels (super small, keep that in mind), and many of the guests leave toys, etc so other children can play with them. I thought this was cool as the kids had a variety of toys to keep them occupied. The hotel has free breakfast and a free cocktail hour daily. The breakfast is alright. They had pancakes, yogurt, fruit, had boiled eggs, and cereal. The coffee was surprisingly good, and there was also juice and water available. Keep in mind none of these items are available outside of breakfast hours. So if you want milk, for example, grab during breakfast because they literally lock the refrigerator otherwise. The cocktail hour is great. There is beer, wine, and sodas available. You can get as many as you want during the hour. I thought the room was great. I chose an ocean view room with a mini fridge/microwave. I chose this room as I wanted more of an ocean view. It was the same price as a partial ocean view with a full kitchen, but the view was more important to me. I learned ocean view is not the same as ocean front, so my view wasn't what I expected, but it was still great. My only two problems were that the pillows were extremely soft, no firmness at all, and there was no tub. Oh, also, the toilet didn't have a lid. I prefer to close the toilet lid when flushing so this was definitely a negative for me. Two nights in a row I had an issue with the night shift front desk lady (same woman both nights). The first night I was trying to get a fork so I wanted to see if the breakfast area had something available. She didn't even get up from her chair which was in the doorway of their back office, not even close to the front desk. She told me she didn't know if there were any forks and made no other effort to assist me. The next incident was the following night when my kids and I got stuck in the elevator. I asked her if they were going to fix the elevator as there were only two for the whole hotel, and again, didn't get up from her chair in the doorway and basically told me "they" were doing everything they could. Back to the elevator situation. We were stuck in the elevator for about 5-7 minutes and when it was opened, the maintenance man immediately started berating us for getting stuck in the elevator. There are signs in the elevator stating not to hold the door open by the door, but only using button inside of the elevator. So he accused us of holding the doors open incorrectly, causing us to get stuck. It left a terrible taste in my mouth and hated being treated that way as a guest. I would've given this hotel 4 stars, but after the treatment from the elevator maintenance man and the night shift front desk woman, this definitely went down to a 3.

Very nice and clean, even during renovations. Very friendly staff!!! Continental breakfast with extras! We were in room 410 and loved it!! It included a spacious balcony and well appointed kitchenette. Would love to come back and stay longer to take advantage of the cocktail hour and pool!

Expedia Information doesn't mention water issue.

We enjoyed our stay at Bahama House, however, there was one inexcusable day of staying at Bahama House without water from 11:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. I asked Ms. Nancy if she could discount the price of the room for the day. She responded that the signs had been posted long enough for everyone to know about the water situation. She also said that someone could bring a bucket of water to flush the toilet. She didn't offer hand sanitizer or bottled water to clean out hands. Under construction is not the same as "no water for 5 hours"

7/6-9/2018 - WEEKEND STAY CELEBRATION SURPRISE I didn't know where we would be staying the weekend of the NASCAR race and I was so happy to drive up to this hotel. Parking is on-site and they also have a garage. When we walked through the glass doors into the lobby, we smelled the Ocean Breeze, literally, it was a scent candle they have. The lobby has an island vibe with light colors including a sky blue color on the walls and sand wash on the floors. The lady who checked us in at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. I have to say all the ladies we encountered on this trip at the desk were very friendly. Our room was located on the 7th floor. Every door had a cute painted house on the door with its name, ours was Black Point. When we opened the door, I was so impressed by how huge this room was. It had a full kitchen minus the oven stocked with all the silverware, cups, plates, pans, utensils you could need. The bathroom was very spacious. The room had two queens, super comfortable, a table with chairs and a sofa chair. The balcony was incredible overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and well stocked. It has a microwave and a coffee maker. (You have to bring your own coffee and filters) We brought food and beverage with us. We ended up making breakfast every day and eating it on our balcony looking out at our beautiful view. They offer complimentary continental breakfast but, since we went to a Gold's Gym in the area early morning, we ended up missing it. Another plus, was their complimentary Happy Hour in their lounge. We were able to enjoy it one day. They had some finger food snacks like gold fish, chex mix, nuts, etc. On Sunday, we spent the day at the beach and cooled off at the pool. They also have a hot tub which we used as well. Our room attendant was Marjorie and she was wonderful. We asked for towels and shampoo at one point and someone from housekeeping came right away. I really enjoyed my stay here! Thank you Bahama House!

I want to take a moment to brag on the staff at Bahama House. Glenda was amazing and answered all of my questions making sure our stay was accommodating and pleasant. she was delightful and friendly. Katie was a delight to talk to and was willing to help guests solve problems quickly. I really enjoyed learning a new tile cleaning trick from Damion. I can not wait to try at home. Our stay, while short, was delightful. Clean, ascetically pleasing accommodations; helpful, friendly, and professional staff willing to go the extra mile for a guest. And the coffee was on point. I can not remember everyone's names, but I was so impressed by everyone. Thank all of you for being absolutely awesome and helping make our random road trip unforgettable.

The hotel rooms are FILTHY. We arrived to our first room and found many things. There was a cockroach in the bathroom to start, pubes and hair on the bedsheets, and the sheets were dirty. The room also had a wet dog/cheese smell. The elevator smelled like weed. We informed the concierge, who was helpful, and switched rooms. In the second room, the light fixture was broken off the wall, there was also another cockroach in the room, and dust was on the ceiling. in the bathroom, there was hair on the floor. Near the window, we could see water damage and mold along the floor of the wall. Overall, the rooms were disgusting, but the lady at the desk, Sandy I believe, was helpful and understanding.

I want to start by saying that this property was lovely. We booked a four night stay with an ocean front room & genuinely enjoyed our time here! The renovations to the property were modern and the staff worked hard to keep everything clean! They provide a complimentary cocktail hour every day with handmade drinks and a small selection of beers. The cocktails were strong and delicious! Overall, would definitely recommend this hotel! My biggest complaint is that the weather damage to the beach access was still not resolved by mid July (the peak of vacation season). All of the surrounding hotels managed to accommodate guests with beach access, even if it were a temporary solution. I understand storm damage is unavoidable, but seeing how our property was the only one STILL under construction was disappointing. Rather than being able to walk to the beach directly from the patio, we had to leave the the main lobby, walk along the road to get to the public access. Though it was close enough, it was very inconvenient going to-and-from the hotel every time you wanted to go to the beach. The staff gave zero direction or explanation on how to access the beach from their property. AND THE CONSTRUCTION TRUCKS WERE SO LOUD from 7AM-3PM, right outside our room. The hotel didn't give any prior notice of ongoing construction and it really was such a bummer during our stay. The breakfast was also a 1/10. The staff seemed overwhelmed with so many guests that you'd be very lucky to get a single hot breakfast item. We ended up utilizing our room kitchen instead of the non-existent "free" breakfast. Despite some issues, I do recommend staying here. The ocean front rooms are an excellent price and the construction issues will eventually be resolved. This was my first trip to Florida and I had a really lovely experience!

This hotel was right across the street from Ocean Center where we would be headed the next morning. The hotel was massive having a south and north tower with 16 floors on each side. My roommate and I were ocean front on the 12th floor, nearly in the middle of the south tower. WOW, what a view! I didn't realize until arriving to the room there was no balcony. However, you could open a regular size sliding door to see and hear the ocean. There were bars like a balcony in front of the sliding door but you could only step out one foot on the tiny platform. I left the door open while I was reading and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean;) Parking was nearly two blocks away on the opposite side of the street and across the street from the entrance of Ocean Center behind a barbecue restaurant. This was a bit of a pain pulling the luggage that far. Plus you had to go up a steep incline to get into the lobby. I could have paid an extra $20 for parking overnight if I had used the hotels valet service. No thanks lol! We did get a discount for the parking lot because we were attending the conference. Instead of $35 it was $20 (with taxes $23). The hotel was a little dated. The light over the sink flickered. But did stop after the light was on for a little bit. The beds however were up to the Hilton standard as well as the pillows, nice and comfortable. I shared the room with a friend from church. I liked the feature of having an extra sink and mirror outside the bathroom. There was a mini fridge but no microwave. The desk chair needed replaced as the seat was very worn in. Service at the front desk was friendly and they helped answer all my questions about parking. It was a little confusing because you didn't have a ticket and I couldn't figure out how I would get out of the lot when the conference was over the next day. But the front desk attendant advised they would have someone at the exit gate to open it when the conference let out. And they did;) Thanks for a comfortable night's sleep Hilton! I would stay here again if attending a conference that included a discount code as this hotel was pretty pricey.

The location was perfect, on the beach and directly across the street from the Ocean Center where the graduation ceremony was to take place. However, this hotel has definitely seen much better days! The furnishings were tattered, the toilet made this loud ear-splitting sound when flushed, and the windows probably have not been cleaned in ages. We paid just under $630 for an ocean view room for 2 nights with taxes and fees, including a $35 a night parking in an uncovered lot across the street. I expected better from a Hilton property! This is one of those "one and done" hotels for us. I don't mind paying a decent chunk of change if the accommodations warrant it, but this place does not.

When we arrived, I went in and spoke with Nastassia, who informed me they did have availability, so I went ahead and book a room from the 9th through the 13th. The first thing I noticed is the total price she indicated was more than the website with taxes and fees. I was given a Veteran Discount and entered my rewards number, which may or may not assist in free stays in the future, but the overall amount still was above the quote on the website. She gave us a free upgrade to a kitchenette room, which was cool and my wife and I went to the room. While there, we requested plates and silverware and was informed they would be putting it together for us stating they would ensure it was sanitized and ready for use. When it arrived, it was not very clean. Not to say it hadn't been cleaned at one point in time, but instead had sat somewhere unused for a while and was just thrown in a large Tupperware bin and not rinsed off again. Everything seemed fine; however, early veterans day morning, we were awoken by construction on the floor above us, before 9 am. Ann, the desk clerk seemed disinterested in our complaint, so we just went about our day. On that same morning after getting ready to head out antiquing, we both noticed tiny little bugs in the bathroom sink, kitchen and table. I couldn't really say if they were bed bugs, because we have never seen them before, but they looked to be very tiny ants. Later that evening, while watching tv in bed, I realize I was being bitten and notified the front desk who moved us to another room, where we stayed for the remainder of our time there. Nastassia was at the front desk at that time and decided to provide us with two free breakfasts for our last two mornings, which was good; however, even when in their dining area, we noticed the little bugs there on the tables. Before heading out on our final day, I decided despite the breakfasts provided to speak with the manager regarding the issues we've had. At first, he asked if we had left our sliding balcony door open, which we did not, because of the very loud surf sound and then asked if we went to the beach, which I again replied no, because the hotel literally sits right on the beach and twice a day, the surf crashes against the walls and in some places comes up onto the pool area, where they have cones indicating the water hazard. This to me seemed as if he was trying to blame us for their lack of cleanliness and pest control at their "resort". Either way, he removed the resort fees from our bill, which saved us the price of a full day, but again, still did not equate to the amount quoted for staying on their website. That evening, our tv internet went out for over an hour. They did send a maintenance person, who fiddled around with the tv, as if we touched something and caused the issue ourselves. Finally, as if the roar of the surf in the back wasn't enough, the hotel sits right off the main road and you can hear every loud car, motorcycle and emergency vehicle for miles. When we were moved from room 609 to 509, the front door started a high pitch howl early in the morning, because the wind picked up, which we attributed to the water proof seal on the door needing to be replaced. When mentioning it upon exit, the male desk clerk stated he would let someone know, but again seemed disinterested in the complaint. When went took them up on the free breakfasts, bar tender/server in the dining area was very cordial and efficient; however, the toast they served arrived soggy, both times. All and all, I can say this was the absolute worst stay I have ever had and recommend you choose another newer hotel in the area.
