GRANDE DISAPPOINTMENT
My partner and I ate at Baha tacos the night of April 9th. We ordered margaritas beforehand and chips, spicy salsa, and guacamole. The waiter brought out hot chips (potatoes fried) and salsa and guacamole, I sent them back because I wanted tortilla chips, why anyone would order fried potatoes with salsa and guacamole at a Mexican restaurant is just strange to me. We ordered our mains, him the Chimichangas, and I, Poc Chuc. The way the meal was served to me made me want to chuck, I pulled a piece of the pork off the plate to sample it and it was absolutely cold. Having worked in the service industry I would not even have insulted the customer by bringing them a dish had been sitting in the window for who knows how long. I sent this dish back as well and didnt even bother ordering another one, it was over 30 minutes or more from the time we ordered our mains, until we received them, with that type of inefficiency in the kitchen we would be waiting too long for crap food once again. I went to the bathroom in the interim and was very surprised to find no soap whatsoever in the loo! I asked the young man who brought my main and he said, "I don't clean the bathrooms." I wasn't asking if he was the cleaner, I just think that stocking an establishment properly is everybody's responsibility and he'd see to it that that problem was addressed. Sadly, he didn't give a flying you-know-what. Upon coming to Baha, we had good memories of the former establishment at its earlier location, the vibe and food were excellent and very reminiscent of my youth in America and visits to Mexico. During the second visit, it was like they lost the plot altogether, were overtaken by lazy management and dirty terroristas. I mean, cold meat and no soap in the toilets, are they looking to spread infectious diseases or what? Disgusting. read more
