Baggu has one SoCal location and it is this one in Silverlake. To get here, street parking will be your best bet and there is a ton of it around the area. Inside, they have a nice setup with a good amount of products to look through. Wifey came for the Miffy reusable shopping bags and that is exactly what we bought. I'm obsessed with Baggu and their unique and fun designs. Was super stocked to be able to visit a location in person and we had fun doing some shopping. The employees were all friendly and greeted us as we walked in. The store was clean, spacious, and the bags were easy to shop through (well organized). As a BAGGU fan who enjoys browsing their collections online but always wishes I could see and feel their items before purchasing, I was so excited to learn a physical BAGGU store opened in LA. I came in the late afternoon on a weekday and there were still several other customers coming in and out of the store so I imagine this place definitely gets busy on weekends. They are located at Sunset Row in Silver Lake and while they do not have a dedicated parking lot, there is a lot of metered street parking on the same street and across that's available + free (though check parking restrictions) parking on the residential streets behind the store. The location itself is a small/medium sized space but every item was displayed and laid out for browsing, you can pick up pieces and try them on with several mirrors available. I wanted to check out their new extended strap crescent bags as I love my 1 medium crescent I have from them and was eyeing the new pink shade recently released. I am glad I went in person as the shade differed from what was displayed online (as can happen w/ pixel differences). The employees were very friendly, asking me if I needed any help, answering questions I had, and ultimately grabbing another bag (small nylon sling, black) from the back so that I didn't have to purchase the display one. They had virtually everything that I know about from their collections in stock and available to browse in person. They do not offer a bag for your purchase which I did find a bit strange but ultimately this isn't a huge deal. read more

As you walk in, to the store. You automatically feel a sense of calmness. With the cute display of their merchandise, so nicely organized. As the customer service is greeted with a hello and a smile! It always seems to take me back to when I was a little girl, so excited to see y'all hello Kitty, and all the different colors of purses, which has always been my favorite part of shopping and must I mention the prices are not to bad either. Staff greets you while looking down at their phone. I like that actually. The person I came in with however thought it was super rude. After asking "how are you" back at the register guy, he said he was trying to make it thru the day and I may have said "hope you do" back because I couldn't think of anything and he & his coworker shared a funny LOOK about it. At least wait til I'm out the store damn, y'all aren't subtle. Of course I'm going to return, you swear I want to wait for stuff to ship. Popping in is nice. read more

We received no greeting as soon as we walked into the store. I work retail and have had moments where I was not in the best mood while working, but this attitude at the store seems like it is a norm. When I went to purchase the bag I wanted, I asked a few questions and was met with a bland response like I should know what to expect. Once again, as a worker, you do not need to convince me to get a product, but I do expect some product knowledge or advice! Honestly, if this is the expectations that BAGGU has for their workers aka lazy, unenthusiastic, rude, and lacking product knowledge then maybe this purchase will be my last. I genuinely was excited to see the store and went in with the intent to buy a bag for my travels, but this type of stuff takes one away from a brand. Do better and teach your staff, it's not hard to do a job. read more

Today was my very first time I went into BAGGU's LA store. I was so excited because I wanted to splurge on a few reusables, pouches, and new bag. I went in a little bit after 12pm. The store was empty of customers which was good I was able to browse and look at everything I wanted. First and foremost the store is very cleaned and organized. The variety was ok-ish-- I wish they had more of the prints I was looking for in reusables. The reason for my mixed review was although the store was very nice and organized the customer service is underwhelming. The most communication we got from the staff was a greet walking in. Seeing we were the only customers in there with 4-5 girls behind the counter I found it odd that no one was on the floor or even bothered to ask if we needed help. The whole time I was shopping there all 4-5 employees were behind the counter laughing, talking amongst themselves or just leaning watching the other talk. It was so awkward. I felt super bummed because I was excited to get lots of stuff but the customer service really put me off and just left with one reusable bag. I've shared this with other customers on a BAGGU group online and they too have similar encounters at this location. I live in the Long Beach area and drove 50min to this location to be bummed about my experience just sucks overall. I'm happy to see other people haven't experienced this and I hope anyone else goes has a more positive and different experience from mine. read more
