I'm originally from the US, so it's hard to compare bagels in France to bagels in the States…read more(especially New York). I had been craving a bagel for a while, so decided to give this place a try but found it just so-so. For the amount of filling you get inside the bagel, and the size of the bagel, it's a bit expensive for what you get. I got the bagel sandwich and was still hungry after I was done. I guess it's about the same price as a bagel sandwich with meat in the States, but it wasn't quite as large or filling.
They have 8 types of savory bagel sandwiches that you can order, and they also have a sandwich of the month on a board outside the shop. The pictures and descriptions always seem better than it really is, and the picture makes it seem larger and taller than the sandwich really is.
I got the Indian bagel sandwich which had a curry bagel, cream cheese with raisins, tandoori chicken, spinach, grilled eggplant and a mango-ginger sauce. Like a lot of ethnic food in France, it was more sweet than spicy, especially because of the raisins and the sweet mango sauce. In general, it was fine but nothing that I'd really be craving again or wanting to eat. I was still hungry after eating my bagel sandwich and having spent 6.50€ on this. I wish I had gone somewhere else to eat, or I felt like this was a snack and I needed to go somewhere else for a more substantial lunch. At least they toast the bagel before assembling the sandwich.
In short, fine if you're really craving a bagel, but this was just okay and overpriced for what you get. I think I'll just try making my bagels at home or waiting till I'm back in the States to get my fix of a bagel sandwich.
