They have a pretty small menu that changes every week depending on what they have in season, which is great because there's variety and the things are fresh. They seem to have 2 pastas, a salad, 2 sandwich choices, and a few desserts that they bake in house. You can get just a sandwich, a salad, or a plate of pasta. Or you can get a sandwich + dessert, salad + dessert, or if you want coffee or tea, they have that too. The sandwiches are pre-made so they are the fastest to grab and go. The salads take a little more time to prepare so you may have to wait 10-15 min. The salad I got had soba noodles, basil, carrots, and some lettuce with a soy-ginger vinaigrette. It was delicious and refreshing; slightly on the smaller side but that meant more room for dessert. The desserts made in house are also delicious. I had an almond apricot cake; they also had cookies, and ice cream / sorbet. The place is really cute but small, so if you have more than 4 people you may want to go elsewhere. They have only a few tables and 2 armchairs. There is no air conditioning but they have free WiFi, so I was able to do a little work on my laptop there. Would recommend this place and will definitely come here again and again!

I then wrongly assumed the chef was too and not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just that well... not really authentic is it? Then the food came and it was truly excellent! I then found out that the chef an elderly woman was in fact Thai and from Chiang Mai! So if you are looking for great Thai food go there!

Food: The Tom Kah soup was delicious, one of the best I have had. If you read my other reviews,…read moreyou can see I like going to Thai places to try their version of Tom Kah soup. It was a little on the mild side though, so we had to spice it up with the dried chili. I had AL31, which had chicken, mushrooms, the little baby corn... It was REALLY good, not too spicy, good, rich flavor (wouldn't expect anything less from France!) and nice presentation with the rice. Food was excellent. Atmosphere: It is modern inside, it seems like the place was just built (or I should say renovated). One thing I like to note is how spacious the places in Toulouse are. If there is a little room between tables so you don't HAVE to eavesdrop on your neighbor, that's a good thing. This place had some room, so that was a plus. Service: Our waitress was nice, no complaints. She spoke English and French. The owner, at least I think it was the owner, was funny when we left because he asked if we liked Japanese food and that there was a great place next door. I'm sure he is friends with them or something...? Usually you don't try to get patrons to NOT come to your restaurant! But hey, when in France...! Price: Reasonable, not cheap but not expensive. Like most places in Toulouse, they have a "meal deal" sort of thing where you can get an appetizer and entree or entree and dessert or go for broke with all 3. But Tom Kah soup wasn't an option for the meal deal so... Overall: I would come back, most def. I like French food just fine, but when you are staying in Toulouse for a week, you need a change of pace from duck and foie gras. Solid Thai place, would definitely come back again.

I had a really enjoyable night out with some girlfriends exploring Toulouse. When it was time to…read morefind a place to eat, we had to consider a group with several dietary restrictions. Luckily, Le Bibent was available and had some tempting options. Fortunately, the food did not disappoint; everything we ordered was not only visually appealing but also quite tasty. Now that I've read reviews from previous years, I wonder whether they have changed chefs or adjusted their menu, since we had no complaints about the food. However, the service was a bit lacking. We had to ask someone several times to find our server to help with things like getting new utensils (since our previous ones had been removed), ordering drinks, and asking for more water. Also, the food took quite a while to arrive at each course, which was the only thing that slightly dampened our experience. Otherwise, we loved it.

The waitress led us to the back of the restaurant and to a table directly in front of the toilet/kitchen. We sat for 15 minutes and watched how every single customer was led to better tables located at the opposite section of the restaurant and far away from us. The same waitress came and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. I decided to play along and ordered still water. Throughout the entire lunch, we observed how tap water was placed on the tables once the customers sat down. Yet we were not offered tap water throughout the entire meal. When the bill came, I asked the waitress if there was special reason to sit us in front of the toilet when the entire restaurant was empty at the time. She did not say anything. I then told her that we usually gave tips. But since we had ordered the still water that she recommended, we would not leave any tips this time. We stayed in France for over 3 weeks during our trip. This was by far the worst food we had ever tasted. Both of us did not finish our dishes because the food was tasteless. Our conclusion was that the chef either deliberately cooked badly for us or his/her taste buds were badly damaged. The chef had to try very hard to make every single dish so bland. For customers with colored skins, take your money to elsewhere. You should be respected. For all other customers, there are many restaurants in Toulouse offering fantastic food at the same or better price. They are just 5-10 minutes walk away. Do not be fooled by the decoration. It is a tourist trap.
