Wow. I'm surprised to see all these bad reviews on here. I had a wonderful experience compared to my visit at Hubert H Humphrey on Slauson and Main a few months back. At HHH, it felt more like a visit to the LA county jail. Doctor's Sander's stethoscope at HHH was being held by shipping tape and was old as hell (the doctor too, I heard about to retire and just too old to even be walking), I was given the run around because I had to come back later that day for blood check up - apparently, you're not supposed to eat 12 hours prior to your doctor visit, you'd think they'd tell you this when you make the appointment for your physical, but nope! and the worst; my visit was in October 2015 and the soonest they could give me my test results for the physical was nearly March 2016. At Dr's Baez, I didn't have to wait at all (either lucky or the people here are lying with these bad reviews), of course being my 1st time I had to fill out the paperwork but didn't take long. The staff were all fine, specially the three that dealt with me, the one handling the paperwork, the one that drew blood and the doc hissself :) Having learned from HHH, I asked "should I not eat anything 12 hours prior to the drawing of blood for my physical?" and they said "you can eat, it's no problem" and sure enough as I've done some research, the people at HHH were pulling my hair. Luckily, I'm naturally bald. Best of all, to get my results black - 2 weeks!! Halleluja!! Overall, that's my new spot! God bless ya'll. read more

So I went today for the first time at this clinic and I have to say Dr. Baez is amazing, he listens to everything you have to say, he treats you like a human being and not as a $$$ patient. Make me feel comfortable on telling him my health problems and gave me the trust that he will help me. The staff in the front desk! Nothing bad to say I went in little late due to an accident outside the clinic and they just told me that doctor have a policy that give you 15 minutes late no over that and off course is understandable. So I want to say THANK YOU DOCTOR BAEZ! You really know how to treat a patient. read more

Doctors in this family practice are great! I was a long time patient here and if it wasn't for my new insurance I would probably still have been with this facility aside from some attitudes from the staff, which isn't the friendliest must I add. Getting appointments though is like 3 months out if you're lucky, but over all good Doctors! read more

If I could give no stars I would. The worst doctors office in history. The receptionist are trash and give so much attitude. If you don't like your job quit or find a new one do not take it out on patients who are sick. Have came here because it is my moms primary doctor and the medical assistants always give her attitude, question her like she's dumb overall they should not be working in the medical field. The waiting room is always full , so after you are in the waiting room for at least half an hour with an appointment, you get checked into a room where doctor still take about another hour to meet with his patients. read more

Don't go here. Had blood work done for my daughter and he didn't even read the results and sent us on our way. When I mentioned it to him he brushed us off, lied and said he did and everything is ok. Smh read more

The only reason I give any stars is due to then"Back office nurses" and the cleanliness of the establishment. I wanted to give this Dr. Office a fair chance but its impossible if they loose you prescriptions, never bother to call in referrals and they have way more patients then they can take on. I am a very patient and understanding person but there is one Nurse in that office by the name of Pat that just seems to have a chip on her shoulder. She is the only one that handles patients referrals. I constantly had to call in and check my status on my referral status which I was always told she was the only nurse that can give me an answer and she would call me back but never received a response. I had to take it upon myself to call my insurance provider and find out she never submitted my referral, THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAD HAPPENED! After a month and another visit to the Dr. it was finally submitted and when I brought my concern to Dr. Baez he just smiled and said ok is that all for today. No even an apology but they sure did collect another co-payment just for me going in and inquiring that information. Pat new about the issue and never apologized, she never smiles, every time I talked with her she was short and I always felt as she was talking down to me. The back office nurses were the only ones that made me feel comfortable and spoke to me not at me as well as Dr. Fuentes he was caring and attentive but I only spoke with him twice and he was not my primary physician. I left and had my primary switched because of my experience here and it was only a short 6 months that I had been seeing Dr. Baez. read more

Very rude nurses, too crowded, long wait, and doctor is not a doctor but a physicians assistant. If you have a good job with good health insurance, avoid this place at all cost. This clinic is for no insurance poor people. read more

All I have to say is that I love the service everyone is really nice and kind and attentive. The doctors really know what they're talking about and answer your questions as best as they can. I know it's really hard to get to everyone but there service is good and at an appropriate speed unlike other clinics. It is a good family doctor and I do trust my health in their hands. read more

I have seen Dr. Baez throughout my life and the only reason I do not make him my primary is because of the Hospital he belongs to. Dr. Baez doesn't mess around. The last time I saw him, he had to give me a shot due to the high fever I was running and gave me stronger meds because by the time I saw him I developed bronchitis. I have to mention that my primary dr had seen me 3 times at this point and wouldn't give me meds other than cough syrup and said I had a bad cold. I currently have Kaiser (do not get me started with them) and I am willing to pay the extra $ money tomorrow to see him since I have been sick for far too long and now have developed layringitis. Kaiser hates giving you meds because this means you will get better faster and won't come back to see your dr again. His office is busy and doesn't look brand new but that doesn't mean he isnt a fantastic dr. People are willing to wait and see him because he does great work. There is another dr at this practice that is just as fantastic but I cannot remember his name. I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Baez...EVER! Even as a child I enjoyed seeing him even though I knew I would most likely have to get a shot. He has given me the breathing treatment for bronchitis and on two other occasions, cleaned out my ears with a water gun looking tool that made me hear so much better (a round plug of q tip fibers came out). Do not be discouraged by the wait. Good drs take their time with patients. You cannot expect excellent diagnosis from a dr who isn't thorough. read more

This place has lost my referral twice. They have more patients than they can take on and the nurses are underpaid hood rats who shouldn't treat people the way they do..... I got stuck with the doc for being lazy and not choosing my own primary doctor.... Won't happen again, this place is a disgrace to the practice. read more

Not the best customer service. The Doctors are great, however to book an appt wth them takes weeks. The nurses there are so rude.

Both doctors are amazing! But this review is for Dr.Flores, he is so amazing and makes you feel so comfortable. You can tell he is really passionate about what he does. I would recommend him to everyone I know. He ALWAYS takes his time with you and helps treat any problem you may have. I don't fear doctor visits anymore. Great doctors, great staff! read more

I have been a patient here since about the age of ten or younger. Sometimes there is a wait but it is worth it. The doctor actually listens and pays attention to your issues. The nurses are nice and caring and have been there for years which is also nice because they get to know you and the staff isn't changing often like other places. If I could give him no stars I would. First of all all the receptionist in the front are rude specially the supervisor. Yes you do not wait a long time to se Dr. Baez but yet again that's how everything is there. They want you in and out as fast as possible including the Dr. I went in to have a physical Dr.baez was just talking to me about sport and never asked me once about my health or if I was concerned about something. I was only there for 10 min. I got blood work as well as an allergy for shrimp. Results came back it said I was NOT allergic to shrimp. I was very exited since I love shrimp. On the weekend my boyfriend and I went to Boiling crab. Well turns out I am allergic! My whole body was cover in hives. When I went back I told Dr.Baez, he just checked the results again and said "no you're not allergic to shrimp" I explained to him what happened to me and he just disregard it. Wonderful doctor personable loving and caring about your health.

I had to write this review to warn anyone looking for a dr or considering A. Baez... I understand that the "game" insurances are running leave drs and clinics at their mercy and they have to do things how the insurance wants or they risk not getting paid, but at some point the drs have to remember that they are treating people in situations that could be of life or death. This is what happened to my mom, who had been going to Baez for years and was very satisfied with him. But in the past few years his quality of service and attention and adequate medical care has almost disappeared. His consultations with her don't last more than a few minutes, after she would tell him why she is there he quickly says "I'll prescribe something for that." and leaves. Doesn't check her, ask any questions, and doesn't return. Hardly a complete consultation. My mom had started having pain in her uterus / abdomen area about 6 months ago that got worse. She went to Baez, explained her situation and he tells her he has some medicine for the pain for her. He didn't really examine her.. She takes the pills but they don't help. she goes back a couple of times and they do other exams, but not in the area of her pain. She goes back again and tells him again she is still in pain. He orders some tests with specialist drs that examine everything BUT the pain in her uterus. This has nothing to do with the pain in her uterus. He still had not really examined her abdomen area. He finds other things wrong, BUT does not focus on or help with the pain in her uterus... She goes back again and practically has to argue with him that she has pain in her uterus. FINALLY he examines her abdomen area, notices that there is something wrong (FINALLY!!!) and says he will get her an authorization for to get an ultra sound. He orders her ultra sound to check her organs - NOT HER UTERUS. They check her OTHER ORGANS ONLY. She goes back for the results and they find gall bladder stones and tells her they will get the referral for a surgeon to remove her gall bladder. But this is not the area of her pain. By this time, she has been suffering with this pain for about 4 months, and about 1 week after that final visit to Baez my father takes her to the emergency room and she is diagnosed with a tumor on her ovary. 2 weeks later Baez receptionist calls her to tell her they have the referral for the surgeon!! TOO LATE and TOO WRONG. My Family trusted Baez and thats why she kept going back to him, trusting his medical instructions. We have made arrangements with her insurance, found other drs and specialists that will treat her. Baez is not one of them. Like I said, I understand things have changed in the medical industry and everything I hear seems to point to the insurances, but the drs are still able to at least provide the proper attention to their patients. I don't wish this situation on anybody and for this reason I post this publicly, if you are considering Baez, or any family member of yours has him for their dr, fight for your rights as a patient to be correctly and thoroughly examined. And if Baez or anyone else doesn't want to listen, go somewhere else, it is YOUR LIFE on the line. read more
