There's a beautiful playground right in front of the entrance that looked well maintained. There are also covered tables so you can sit outside and eat or do any other table top activities. They have two large gyms with bleachers on one side. They also had two activity rooms that could be set up to be used for many things such a trainings, baby shower, etc. Each of the rooms has a sink and the bathrooms are right next door. Bathrooms were also well kept. If you live in the neighborhood or need to host an event, I would suggest looking into this location.

I found an Aqua Zumba class online for Tuesday mornings at this location and went in for the class…read more I was so glad to see that Rec Centers and Summer Camps are still available in the inner city. You'd think this sort of think no longer exist they way people complain about not having any resources for their kids around summer. The complex has an outdoor pool, and play ground, basketball court and hold all sort of line dance classes, empowerment classes and yes, aqua zumba lessons. They also have volleyball, guitar lessons, and open gym at the basketball court several times a week My class was cancelled due to rain. When I went to pay the $5 drop in fee for the class the receptionist was not aware the class had been cancelled, when no one showed up near the 11am start time, I went back to the desk and the receptionist said the instructor had called and verified the class cancelled in the ten minutes I was there waiting for the class to begin and refunded me the $5. I'm for sure going back since they offer different fitness classes and most of them have a drop in rate of $5-7, some of them even give a discount for seniors citizens. A wonderful business for the neighborhood and great activities for kids.

I have lived in this area for 18 years but never visited this recreation center. I visited on this…read moreday so that I could vote in the general election. It was listed as the early voting location, so I decided to come here to vote. I was dropped off at the front of the building, which had several steps that you have to walk up. This may impact those that are mobility challenged or handicapped. I'm sure there was another entrance in the back of the building. I did see a handicap ramp in the front though. There were signs everywhere with directions on where to locate the voting booths. The election staff was very pleasant. I had no problems with signing in or the actual voting process.

Daily parking is convenient and plentiful. Event parking is inconvenient. Regardless, the train station is walking distance, even if carrying a gym bag after leg day. The people who operate this facility are it's greatest asset. 99.99% of them are kind and customer-oriented. Ps. Events and concessions are cash only. In the current times, that worth a whole star.

PARENTS BEWARE!!!!! The STAR TRACK TC track and field program is without a doubt one of the WORST,…read moremost unorganized and unprofessional organizations in Union City, GA. I normally do not write reviews but as a dedicated parent, I feel the need to let other parents know who may be looking into this program for their child. This was our first time signing our son up for track in which we paid Sharon Childers, the program administrator $115 + $150 =$265 total via PayPal for the 2017 spring track season registration which was supposed to include all track meet registration fees, a uniform (track shorts and top that we received), a track suit (top and pants that we NEVER received) and a gym bag (that we NEVER received). The first practice was held at a high school field where we had no entry so everyone had to squeeze through a locked gate which felt ghetto and illegal. Other practices were moved to another high school location in which the children had to practice in the grass because once again we did not have access to the actual track on several occasions. The track meets were no better because we arrived on time with no coach present because he was always running late and no adult team representative could be found to guide our son in the right direction. Therefore, my husband would try to register our son and was told that the registration fee for our organization had not been paid on time on several occasions, therefore our son was delayed in getting his bib number which he needed to run his races. We were beyond frustrated and angry but chalked it all up as a HORRIBLE experience that we would never return to but the worst part is that Sharon and her team are scamming parents out of their hard-earned money by collecting $265 upfront for the uniform and registration fee but despite our best efforts, we NEVER received the warm-up suit or gym bag that we paid for in full. Emails have been sent several times to Sharon get these items to us asap but each time Sharon would blow us off and pretend like she would have it for us the next week and the next week and the next week which was a complete lie!!!! The spring track season ended and we STILL never received these items. When I tried to retrieve my money back through PayPal, I was informed that the time frame had expired therefore I had to eat the cost. This is a huge learning lesson that I want to share with other parents to NOT sign their kids up for this particular organization. Sharon seemed super nice in the beginning but we soon realized she is a wolf in sheep's clothing and is NOT to be trusted at all. Please do your research and find other reputable track organizations for your child because you will be deeply disappointed, saddened and frustrated at how this organization is ran from the administrator to the coaches. We have heard so many complaints after the fact and later found out there were several other parents who also did not receive their child's track suit or gym bag. Although I am extremely upset about losing my money I hope my review helps to warn other parents of the wrong doing of the Sharon and Start Track TC organization. We searched and could not find reviews on this organization so I hope this review is posted to help others.
