I originally gave this salon a 5-star review based on previous experiences, but I'm updating it after a recent, very disappointing visit with my 14-year-old daughter. She had a haircut with Rhysa and color with Anna. We came prepared with a reference photo and discussed everything thoroughly beforehand. I made it clear twice that the bangs should be cut at an angle--not straight across. Despite that, Rhysa cut them bluntly, completely disregarding our request. On top of that, the back of the haircut has an awkward, very short top layer with about 2.5 inches before the next, creating a noticeable and uneven gap. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wasn't offered a seat to observe, so I had no opportunity to step in during the cut.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The color was equally disappointing. We asked for significantly lighter highlights--subtle and blended, not stripey. After four hours and $250, there was virtually no difference in color. It looked almost exactly the same as when we arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I submitted a complaint and was told they'd offer a cleanup on the haircut--but only with the same stylist who botched it, and nothing would be done about the color. I declined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We won't be returning, and I'll be sharing our experience with others. I'm sure there are talented stylists at Baddhare, but when a salon dismisses a customer's concerns and offers no meaningful resolution, it's time to take your business elsewhere. read more

Terrible salon and extremely rude staff!!! I am in town on vacation and wanted a hair cut so I made an appointment at this salon online for 5:15 and pre paid with my credit card, I called to let them know I'm not from around here and running 5 minutes late, they verified my name and appointment and said that was fine. When I arrived I checked in, I sat there and waited about 20 minutes and asked how much longer it would be, I was told the person I had an appointment with was still cutting someone's hair and then they needed a blow out so it would be a while... after waiting 45 minutes, I was then told there was "a glitch" in the scheduling and I would not be seen because another customer was coming in, I could reschedule to the next day! I explained I'm on vacation and have plans with my family I could not come back and this was not fair to me especially after waiting 45 minutes! The receptionist "Izzy" said since the manager was not there it was up to her and she decided that I would not be seen! This place is extremely rude and unprofessional. I said I would leave a review online and was told "that's fine we have enough people that like and follow us"! Disgusting people here!!! Not a way to do business! read more

You claim you've worked to improve the customer experience yet you never bothered to pick up the phone to apologize for the outrageously unprofessional salon behavior inflicted on us. You claim things have changed since my husband and I were abused by your management (LESS THAN the year ago you cite). This only proves our point that your salon was run in a very WOKE fashion, much like TARGET, BUD LIGHT, etc. In spite of your thoughts that I should forget about it, you don't deserve that. I want to make sure others know the truth about your business and beliefs. As to "winning" awards, the source you cite is unreliable. As to you manipulating the public with claiming you and your salon are community-minded by citing charitable work you and your salon staff plan to participate in, congratulations. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON - BAD HAIRCUT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had a truly atrocious experience with Baddhare Salon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Under no circumstances, would I recommend that you try the salon as not only did I receive a very poor haircut, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was also treated very poorly via email by one of the store managers named Leslie Menich.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I went in for my haircut, I had asked that my split ends be trimmed and that, my right side framing my face was even balanced out to the left side of my face where I've been growing out my bangs for many years. I did not notice the poor cut immediately as I have curly hair and a great deal of products were put in to style it at the end of my cut. Two days later when I washed my hair and washed out the "curly mask" I saw that not only were the sides completely uneven but that my entire head of hair was still covered in split ends. Unfortunately due to the holiday and currently battling a severe health issue it took me a week to reach out to the salon to complain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager sent me an email saying that they would like me to return to their salon and in fact even the SAME stylist.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Never in my life would I return to a salon that I received a poor haircut from nevermind the same stylist. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager emailed me again and scolded me for taking a week to submit my complaint and that as I never provided pictures (which I was never asked for) and refused to see the same stylist they refused to give me a refund.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I paid $97.85 and tipped 20% ($20.05). read more

I came to see Albertha for my first haircut in Myrtle Beach. I have tight curls and to my experience, it is priceless to meet a hairstylist that can work with curls. I wrote a review on their website but wanted one here so possibly more people would see it. I had a very negative response from the managers of the myrtle beach salon. I was unhappy about the keratin express treatment which was supposed to last 3 months. My hair was straight until I washed it for the first time 4 days after the treatment. My hair returned to its original condition. When I informed them of my issue they asked me what shampoo I used. I used a keratin shampoo I had at home and they then told me that it happened because I used a "non-salon" shampoo. Odd that a treatment that costs over $100 (my bill totaled $185 which included a minor hair trim) could be so easily reversed by a one time shampoo. I will not ever go back and I would advise people to think twice. read more

Do not go to this place! I booked an appointment with them - on the phone they ask what I want to do with my hair and according to this they determine the appointment time. When I arrived they claimed there was not enough time to do what I asked for, it was annoying and disrespectful and yet I had to take care of my hair and made another appointment instead for me and for my daughter. When I arrived for the second time the barber maid an haircut to my daughter but because she did not like it and had to correct the mistake he made he claimed he did not have enough time to correct and left her with an unclear haircut !!!! To me the barber did a terrible hair dye and when he and the shift manager saw the damage they immediately made me another appointment to repair the paint but the barber shop manager decided the next day that they dont know how to repair the damage and charged me a considerable amount anyway! They ruined my and my daughter's hair and did not know how to fix it - that's the worst thing! Completely unprofessional! If you want to dye your hair or even get a successful simple haircut - do not go there! read more

Went to Baddhare salon for the new Keratin treatment by Goldwell. Lately every treatment I had tried failed me and all were big bucks! This was expensive but worth it. Rosie did the treatment and with all the heat and humidity of the Fourth of July weekend, plus the swimming, it is holding up beautifully. She also did the best haircut I have gotten in a long time. Yes, for me it was a super splurge weighing in at half past four hundred dollars including the tip, but this time, worth it! Plan to come back to M B to do it here again! read more

I have been going to BADDHARE for a little over 2 years. I WILL NOT BE going back. This is the 3rd time I had the wrong color put in my hair. They corrected the first two very reluctantly and on this last visit I walked in Blonde and came out Brown. The stylist whose name is Sara told me that she uses the same formula and that it was the same color. I posted this same review on our community Facebook page. I received several responses of people having the same experience. I used to recommend this salon, NOT ANYMORE! I've already had one of their repeat customers ask me where I am going to go for my next Hair appointment, I gave her the name and she is going to try it. She is also unhappy and had a bad experience . WORD OF MOUTH IS EVERYTHING especially in a development where people are always asking for suggestions! I have posted the before and after pictures on our community website clearly showing the color that I went in with and the color that I came out with. I guess my stylist, who is supposed to be the best needs to learn her colors again, because she clearly does not know what Blonde is. What an amazing experience! I have lived in Myrtle Beach for 13 years and this was by far the BEST haircut I have ever had. I was very nervous because I have gotten many bad hair cuts since I moved here and have been unable to find that one person who will take the time to cut your hair just the way you want it.... until now! The first thing I noticed when I walked into the salon was that it was was immaculate and very inviting. The brick archways and stucco walls were tastefully decorated and instantly made you feel at home. I was greeted immediately and was told Rhysa would be right with me (and she was). Rhysa was amazing! She has a great personality and took the time to understand exactly what I wanted. Most importantly, she did not rush through the shampoo or the haircut. She took the time to make sure everything was even and was very focused on what she was doing. I felt very confident as she was cutting my hair that she truly cares about her customers. After she finished the cut she blow dried my hair and everything fell into place exactly the way I wanted it! No curling iron needed.
