I would never recommend this firm or Attorney Conor Carey due to the following : 1. neglect; Attorney Carey never tried to mediate to get a better deal . He was clearly manipulating me to accept his agenda. 2. lack of communication; he never explained in detail documentations . He never shared his phone conversations he had with the other attorney. 3. scope of representation; He never offered alternative approaches such as mediation . I hired Al Albano of Bacon Wilson for an equity complaint. I gave him a $5000 retainer to resolve an equity complaint at $300/hour in late January 2022. He responded to my 4-page summons and charged me for $3000 or for 10 hours. He read previous court documents that were not needed to respond to the summons, plus I told him all of the information needed, and the standard protocol for this is to deny everything. He then filed interrogatories, without asking me or going over a strategy for the plaintiff to prove allegations. The responses from the interrogatories were absolutely no proof of any allegations. They were late, but Mr. Albano told me that it doesn't matter if they were late and the court does not care if they were late. I wonder of his veracity here. The responses were rambling insecurities from the plaintiff. When he received discovery or my mother's medical records from a local hospital, I told him, I would not pay him to read her medical records. They are full of errors and contradictory information. Every paragraph or day or a different doctor or nurse says opposing information. I asked him to just ask the lawyer who transferred the deed to state that I did not coerce my mother to transfer the deed to her property, but Mr. Albano's first reaction was, "we don't know what he will say," and the second time I asked him to do this, Mr. Albano told me, "we don't know what his reputation is." The plaintiff, my sister, cannot prove that I coerced our mother to transfer the deed because the only people in the room, were my mother and the lawyer who transferred the deed. Other lawyers stated to me that the plaintiff does not have a shot in hell with this, but Mr. Albano did nothing to get this case resolved in a timely manner. It is my opinion, Mr. Albano, acted with the motivation to make money for himself and his firm. I asked him to file a motion to dismiss, and he immediately said, he would not do that without another $5,000 retainer. He kept charging me, for review of discovery, or my mother's medical records for a total of $4800 over the original $5,000 retainer. I finally fired him and asked for $2500 back from my retainer and my client file. I sent him a certified letter for the $2500, and Mr. Albano emailed me that he would not be reimbursing me, and he still expected me to pay the complete bill. I spoke to Lisa Carpenter, the executive director of Bacon Wilson, who told me that she is objective and does reprimand lawyers on occasion. She had my client file sent to me, and I read it all for notes from Mr. Albano, and there is no indication in my client file, that Mr. Albano read any of the discoveries. Mr. Albano called me on November 8 because Bacon Wilson has left it completely up to him, to which I would guess he will never admit any wrongdoing for fear of liability. He stated that he does not have to do what his client says and that he did tell me about the interrogatories, and if he cowered to everyone who threatened to report him, he would not be practicing law. When I asked him why there were no notes of his review of discovery, he stated that those notes were his. He also told me that he would not be reimbursing me any money. The Mass Bar has informed me that they do not enforce or investigate issues concerning bills from attorneys. read more

It would be a wonderful thing if the lawyer I hired from this firm would do something. I Paid a large retainer, and 6 months later NOTHING!!! What was said to be a simple document is still not done. Repeated phone calls, follow ups, have lead to nothing. I certainly hope that anyone reading this DOES NOT have the same service I have had. read more

Numerous phone calls not returned when Calling for help in a PIP with the insurancee company. Led to mistakes on my part which caused a mess with my claim. Finally beginning to move forward attorney leaves practice and Bacon and Wilson drops me without notice 2 weeks before my insurance hearing. Have been a client before for real estate closings. I Definately miss the small town feel of the smaller practices they seem to be eating up. read more

Though I was clear from the beginning about my marital status the attorney made an error, recording me as single and then at closing let us know that we would need to pay an additional $300 to change the paperwork. The survey presented at closing was inconsistent with the property lines the previous owner had described. We were told we would need to pay for an updated survey if we want to know how much property we were actually purchasing. The previous owners violated our purchase and sale agreement and didn't take agreed upon pest control measures. As soon as the snow melted our house was infested with carpenter ants. Our realtor was told that the lawyer did not have time to assist us. I implored their overworked paralegal on my own who forwarded many emails I had written to the previous owner's layer, eventually strong arming them to reimburse me for the extermination services. read more

Over a year after buying the house mentioned in my first review, my partner and I split up. Since both names were on the property, but only one of us could live there, we needed to settle it, Unfortunately, we could not agree, and thus, had to settle it legally. I hired a firm in CT (where the property is located), and he hired Bacon Wilson. While I cannot comment on his specific experiences with the firm regarding this case, I had one interaction directly with his attorney from the firm on this case that I feel is pertinent information to anyone seeking legal counsel. I receive an email from my attorney one day stating that the opposing attorney (i.e. the representation at Bacon Wilson) requested I "stop posting negative reviews about her on the internet". I was a bit confused, as I had not. I asked my attorney to clarify, and he told m that she had mentioned what I posted on Yelp. I sent him a link to my review. He could immediately see, as I am about to explain, that this was not the case. As shown in the initial review, it was from over a year prior to the current case, did not reference the present attorney (or any attorney) specifically, and had been clearly outlined as relating to another experience. When you work with the public, and as an attorney who must side, the opposing team may not like what you present. That's a given. But to actively seek an internet review on your firm on an unrelated issue and attempt to use it in a case displays a lack of professionalism, pettiness, and a brashness I personally would not seek in legal counsel. It almost felt to me as if the attorney was seeking a reason to whine for attention on an issue not even related to her OR the case. read more

Hired them twice for a real estate related matter. The first time, only half of the job they were hired for was done. The second time, nothing was done at all. The attorney aborted the case, told me, "good luck" and charged me a huge amount of money. Be aware of hidden fees - they will charge you for phone calls or e-mails you may exchange with the attorney. One time I spent 4 minutes on the phone with them, they charged me $90. The bill said, "time spent with the client". They will charge for the time spent reading your e-mails as well. Never ever ever hire them. The name of the attorney assigned to me was Donna Wexler - she's pretty bad. read more
