My 10-year-old son and I booked a half-day fly fishing adventure, and Kevin picked us up right from our cabin at FireFall. We were complete beginners, but Kevin was patient, kind, and incredibly encouraging--especially with my son. He brought absolutely everything we needed to fish, making it completely hassle-free. Kevin's attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm made it an absolute pleasure. When we come back, we're 100% booking this again--and we'll be asking for Kevin by name. Whenever I'm driving down CA-120, I always try to make it a point to stop at this vista point. The…read moreviews of Don Pedro Lake from this vista are just simply incredible! There's a large parking lot that seems to never be full when I come here, and plenty of places to take in the gorgeous views. You can also see the Jacksonville Bridge in the distance. There's a small hiking trail that will take you to the top of the hill. I've never had enough time to actually hike it all the way to the top, but the Jacksonville Bridge is clearly viewable from the trail. There's lots of dry brush depending on the time of season that you go and this trail doesn't seem to be maintained on a regular basis. Just be prepared to have a few pieces of the dry brush stick to your socks and clothes. At any given time, you'll see people kayaking and sailing their boats on the lake. This vista point doesn't grant actual access to the lake, but you can pay $10 (per standard vehicle) for full access at the nearby Moccasin Point Marina Recreation. This vista point is an excellent spot to catch a beautiful sunrise and sunset. I've usually come here on the way to and from Yosemite, so I've had the pleasure of seeing both. It's definitely worth a stop if you're passing through the area.

The staff are all pros and made us feel safe and in control. Our guide, Horse, was an expert on hydrology, geology and local flora/fauna and would keep us informed on historical points of interest along the river. He had a great sense of humor and a chill personality. All of the guides - Mikey, Tyler, Adam, Joe, Shotgun - were really awesome. The food was really good. We had sandwiches for lunch the first day, chicken and pasta that night and chicken burritos for lunch on the second day. Overall, I would highly recommend rafting the Tuolumne river with All-Outdoors.

It was our first…read moretrip to Yosemite and David planned two great days that really gave us a feel for the incredible natural beauty that surrounds you in the Valley. While you can only see so much in two days, his skillful guiding made the most of that time covering the multiple waterfalls in the valley, the Sequoia Grove, Hatch Hatchy and many others. He is a self taught naturalist and gave us just the right mix of park history and insights into the floral and fauna. He also balanced our hiking so it was challenging enough to keep me interested but not to difficult that Thelma could not enjoy it as well. He was also terrific about assisting her through some of the more difficult and rocky sections so she was never uncomfortable. His planning was simply impeccable and more than worth every penny as we could never have enjoyed as much as we did on our own. There is just no substitute for having a professional guide a Dave was as professional as it gets. Simply cannot thank him enough and more highly recommend him to anyone who wants an extraordinary experience.

We scheduled time with Gabe from Wild Yosemite and he took us to a spot to view the falls from that is kind of a secret spot where only a few serious photographers were located. My wife and I watched the fire falls and sipped wine from about 700 feet above the valley floor. It was amazing. Gabe at Wild Yosemite scouts out the best hikes, best viewing locations that only come with constant exploring of Yosemite. Gabe's knowledge of Yosemite, and his warm and caring personality make him stand out among guides.
