Last year, my elderly grandfather contracted with Ms. Martin to deliver lunches to him at his home, as he was physically unable to cook many meals for himself. Not long after doing so, Ms. Martin asked my grandfather for a cash advance because she was planning to start a new business. My grandfather, being the kind hearted person that he was, gave Ms. Martin $500.00, which was to cover his lunches for the next several months. Unfortunately, my grandfather passed away shortly thereafter. Needless to say, he never came close to using up the $500 worth of meals from Ms. Martin. When Ms. Martin was contacted regarding the unearned money, she stated that she would look at her books and get back with us regarding a refund. Ms. Martin never got back with us. Several months later, we sent a demand letter to Ms. Martin again requesting that she return the unearned money. She never responded. The amount of money has never been the issue, as it is a relatively small amount. The issue is that Ms. Martin knows that she did not earn that money, and yet has no intention of returning it. I just want any potential customers to be aware of what kind of person they will be dealing with if they contract with Along Came Becki and/or Becki Martin.
