She clearly knows her biscuits! The location was unexpected and a little hard to find. Ms. Bird explained that her husband actually owned the little industrial park and when her classes got larger, instead of continuing to teach at her home, she fashioned a charming kitchen in the back of the building. There aren't any signs from the street, yet, so it's awkward driving around when you don't know what you are looking for. But one quick call and we were united with the other 12 people waiting for the class to begin. Maryann did a great job of explaining her credentials and how she fell in love with biscuits. She made biscuits right in front of us, talking us thru the process while making everyone comfortable with one another. She answered questions. She educated us about substitutions. And then she served us each one of those biscuits, complete with sausage gravy, to enjoy. After each table (there were about 6?) was given the tools and materials to make their own flour-y butter soaked delicacies. While those were cooking? Pictures, clean up, and a few products for sale (we picked up some biscuit cutters!) It was a great day, and wasn't affected by the heat OR scattered thunderstorms! We're still missing 35%. I do not recommend this company because the owners have completely ignored me and still have pop-ups like nothing happened.
