"We turn down 15 appointments a day, we don't need your business," is what the receptionist said to…read moreme. I made a mistake with daylight savings "spring forward" time change and called to ask if I could still bring my dog for the scheduled procedure. The receptionist told me with ZERO sympathy that they were keeping the $75 deposit I had given. She was extremely uncaring as she told me this was their policy for no-shows (even though the website says the no-show fee is $50.) I asked her why she was behaving so harshly and unsympathetic, and the quote I opened this review with was the answer she gave, "We turn down 15 appointments a day," which she claimed was the answer of her manager and the "one doctor" at the hospital. I told the receptionist that I had to tell my son's cardiologist the same thing that morning--that I had made a mistake with the daylight savings time change and that they were totally understanding and caring, AND still saw him that day. My experience with Stansbury Animal Hospital is making a down payment of $75 and being rudely told they were keeping that due to a mistake that I am certain many people make on the first business day of "spring forward." I was ready to give an additional down payment so that I could reschedule the services when the receptionist told me they don't care about my business, or that of the friends and family with whom I would share this negative experience. I have had experience with another animal hospitals before coming here. Never ever had an issue like this. I thought I'd just try a new place a little closer to home, but I will be going back to the other animal hospital we used.

I recommend this vet over any other one in Tooele county, because this is the only one where you will find kindness to not only yourself but your animals.

Just had our first appointment with Jorge and Wow.... I just have to say THANK YOU!! One of our…read more(many) dogs is a 20lb poodle mix who fell into our laps as a horrifically abused 6 month old puppy. His outlook on humans other than us has always been one of distrust and fear, but being part poodle has meant that grooming is something that will be a part of his life forever. After getting kicked out of the grooming salon where he'd been going for the past 2 years for nipping at tools/thrashing wildly on the table and being told he could only be groomed under sedation, we decided to try a private mobile groomer hoping that a quiet, more personal environment would make him feel safer. Jorge showed up and took some nice chill time to just hangout with the pack inside our house to ply Goji with his favorite ice-breaker treats so he could learn that "hey, this dude's okay; he's not gonna hit me, he's FEEDING me, and my family seems to think he's okay too." I was on pins and needles waiting for a text/knock on my door that it had to be called off early because he was just too scared and they wouldn't be able to finish the groom. Lo and behold, the knock came, but I was greeted by a happy, fully groomed, non-traumatized pupper and non-injured groomer! I loved that I got a full report that yes, he was wiggly and anxious, gave some side eye, but no nipping or growling and just needed to be plied with some more tasty nibbles for "good human" reminders. Goji has NEVER gotten his face successfully worked on and this boy now has trimmed ears and a neat beard. I booked this appointment being very blunt that this wasn't about aesthetics for me; I wanted someone that was more focused on helping me to help our very anxious/traumatized pup settle into a scary thing BEFORE that fear flipped into full aggression and man, he definitely did that today. We did give our dog a VERY low dose Gabapentin (with our vet's directive) just to help a little bit with that heightened edge and will for sure be booking again for all of Goji's future groomings - same with our other dogs that I can't just toss in our bathtub at home.

Better than PetSmart!…read more We were referred by our friend who has a 17-yr-old terrier mix. At first we were leery and wary of a "school" where "students" are just starting out and learning. We love our little 6-lb shih tzu Sofie and of course want what's best for her. After some not great experiences with PetSmart (nothing terrible, Sofie just didn't like them and they weren't as detailed with her cuts), we decided to try USPG. When they asked us how we wanted her full groom, they showed photos of different face shapes, different cuts, etc. I am a visual person and enjoyed seeing examples. I wanted to keep the black on her ears and the white/black on her tail. The receptionist made notes of everything! Sofie loved them and her first cut was a success! They gave her a full teddy bear face and kept her ears how I like them (black tips just lightly trimmed), and cleaned up her tail. Overall, it was a very positive experience! Would definitely take Sofie there again.

I've never had a groomer that does as good of a job as they do and I never had a groomer treat my furbabies as well as they do! My girls actually get excited when they realize where they are where before at other groomers they have been terrified when they realize where they are. Thank you for always doing a great job making my babies look and feel beautiful and for putting me at ease knowing they are in the best hands!!! I would recommend everyone bring their animals to them! I can't say enough good about them!!! Thank you all for being so wonderful!!!!
