Who would expect such a charming little spa to be located in Danville Illinois?…read more Great service, super clean & second to none. The ladies really know how to put a smile on your face . . . highly recommended :-)

Well this is my first time I have ever written a review and it is not one I write in a joyous mood…read more On Father's Day I traveled to Danville for an early business meeting Monday morning. My schedule has been very busy of late and a lot of muscle tension in my neck and shoulders. Upon arriving in Danville I searched the Internet for a massage therapist that might be available on Sunday afternoon. After calling a couple of numbers I received an answer from Joejin Spa and Massage. A women with an Asian accent answered the phone which I expected thus the name. So I asked if they had and appointments and her reply was yes they had therapist available to come on over to their location with an hour secession would be $60.00 . Upon my arrival I was not impressed with the appearance of the business but I entered and was greeted by a lady who worked there. She asked me had I been there before and my reply was no this was my first time and I would like to have an hour of work. She then proceeded to tell me the $60.00 included a table shower, dry sauna and then body work. When I said I wanted and needed only body work with focus on back and neck I was told that she was only able to work on me for 30 minutes and an hour made her too tired. I said well ok because I was already there. It was cash only and for a 20 minute back and shoulder rub with dry and sticky hands was $40.00. What a joke.

My stylist moved her salon to another city so I had to try something new and heard good things…read moreabout Studio 31 so I decided to give it a try. The stylist recommended was JB. She was not familiar with my hair and applied color that unfortunately turned my roots very brassy. I went back a week later thinking we could apply a toner and it would tone down the red. Instead of applying toner she applied a very dark color to just the roots and the end result was worse. Honestly I am not as upset about the bad result as I am the way I was treated by the stylist. After she applied the color she instructed her assistant to wash, condition and get me out of the salon, then paused to say "make sure she isn't dripping when she leaves." I was stunned when the assistant towel dried my long, thick, curly hair and was about to send me out without brushing my wet hair as directed by the stylist. The assistant was able to pick up on my dissatisfaction and asked me if I would like for her to brush my hair before leaving the salon. The stylist never came back and checked the color or even asked if I was satisfied with the results! I spent about $250 and my hair looks worse than it did before I walked in the first day! I would not recommend this stylist, I think she needs to do better in the way she is treating her clients!

My 16 year old daughter went to this "business" by herself while I was at work. She tells the gal…read moreat the front desk what she needs which is a spray tan, medium, pays.. the girl tells her to find her way down this hallway, another girl comes in puts her hair net on and starts to walk out. My daughter says, I've never done this before , I don't know what to do. Girl says, I think there's a button in there (the booth)or something and walks out. So my daughter gets in, no button, she starts waving her arms around, something finally triggers it. It starts, there's feet and numbers on the floor so she can follow along to get full coverage. She gets done, walls back up to the counter, no one to be found... as I said before, she has never done this so some after spray instructions would have been nice. My daughter leaves. She has a line across the middle of her forehead from where the cape was put on her and didn't get moved to her hair line. One arm and hand are her natural color and one arm and hand are spray tanned.... Complete waste... proms tomorrow... I believe the people working there need some training on their equipment and customer etiquette. I would have called and said all this directly to someone, but they close at 4:30. Do not recommend.

My daughter's stsrting therapy here awhile back. After only a couple of sessions they were trying…read moreto get us to switch therapists. They were trying to say " Maybe they arent comfortable with a mle therapist." Their last therapist was a male, so no. After one more session communication absolutely breaks down. Next session was canceled and nothing else scheduled. I had to call and get them set up with someone else after being told Brent is no long seeing children. Ok no big deal. Till my husband takes them to see their new therapist and sees Brent talking with a father and underage son. If you or your child are "different" I suggest you seek therapy from a place that offers and fosters open minded individuals. Ultimately my child was discriminated against by a "good Christian". Odd how they feel like everyone should accept them but they don't have to do the same. "Thou shall not judge, lest ye be judged".

I had a terrible experience a few years back at Two Roads Wellness Clinic. One of their counselors…read more(Becky Newcomer) was scheduled to call me to do an initial assessment of what I needed services for prior to me coming into the office for my session. I had been there a year or so prior and had seen her once for a different reason. She was going to go over my file and then call for that initial appointment. She called me from her car, with no way to take notes as she drove and had not reviewed my file nor remembered who I was. She put me on hold once for quite a while and when she came back she apologized but she was somewhere picking up an order for something needed for her family's pumpkin farm. She had called ME during this scheduled phone call, it's not like I had interrupted her during personal time. I decided to give her another chance thinking that was a one-time thing. I scheduled and saw her at the office but spent the entire time listening to her tell me about a training session she attended recently where she learned a new skill called "tapping." I barely said anything as she kept going on and on and on about how great her training session was. I didn't schedule a return appointment. I received a bill for that initial phone call and the one office visit and paid it. I ended up sending a complaint letter to the office about how terrible the experience was. They called me back and apologized and offered a free session with a different counselor. I scheduled it. Something had come up and I had to reschedule. When I called to do so the receptionist was very busy and said she'd call me back. I never heard from them again. I would not recommend Two Roads Wellness to anyone. Ever.
