Chris has built a great team. The group can be described as a collection of similar and different skills, kind of a Swiss army knife - each tool with a special purpose. During my recovery from shoulder surgery I worked with every member depending on what was prescribed for the level I was at. They did an excellent job and I recommend them. read more

I was a patient for about a month. Six months after I had completed my therapy I received a large bill. When I starting going they said that I was good to go with my insurance. I know that I should have confirmed this but when their office staff said that my PT was covered, I took their word for it. I came to find out that they had not applied for preauthorization; this was THEIR responsibility and the insurance company needed the doctor's referral, initial evaluation, their information (NPI/tax ID numbers). They had never bothered to do so. After I called and spoke with the insurance company, they went back, contacted Back in Motion and did their best to correct the error. But ultimately, I got stuck with a large portion of the huge bill because of THEIR office error. Any PT clinic worth their salt would find out what your PT benefits are and confirm them with you--they'd suggest that you call to verify--but it is their job to initally find them out. Even if they weren't going to, they shouldn't have said that I was "good to go." They should have told me to contact my insurance before beginning therapy. In their defense, I think that they were getting new office staff, but they still should have said that there would be the possibility of insurance or office errors. I would not go back because of all this. I had to pay a lot money which was awful because I don't make a lot. This was frustrating, especially when my insurance would have paid 100%! We also have extensive training in the treatment of running injuries and in returning athletes to competitive sport after injury.

Dr. Chris Moore established Back In Motion in 2007 to provide specialized outpatient services to the people of Dickinson County.

Meet the Business Owner: Chris M.

Dr. Chris Moore is the owner of Back In Motion Physical Therapy Clinic and specialized in the treatment of orthopedic musculoskeletal pain. With the use of an evidence based manual therapy approach, Chris continues to focus his treatment on spine, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle injuries. Originally from the local area, Chris is a Kingsford graduate and feels privileged to serve the people of the community he was raised in. Dr. Chris Moore received his bachelor's degree from Michigan Technological University in 2001. Following graduation, Chris received his Masters degree in Physical Therapy from Andrews University in 2004. While working, he continued to pursue his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University School of Health Sciences in 2008. To continue to pursue clinical excellence, Chris is currently enrolled in the Residency program in manual therapy through Evidence in Motion.
