I live in Flandreau, home of Doug and Cheryl Austreim, and I've been a loyal customer for 12 years…read moreor so. I was working in my yard, trimming some bushes and pulling weeds when Austreim's truck No. 39 pulled up. I was filling my wheelbarrow from the street, where I had raked my cut branches and leaves, for easy pick up. The truck blocked my back driveway, the driver got out after a couple minutes in the cab, it looked like he was on his phone. He drug his application hose to the north side of my property and started spraying my yard. I had a garden hose out with a tractor sprinkler in the back yard, which I got out of his way. My back yard is pretty big and he got about half way to my house when we passed each other as I was on my way to dump my wheelbarrow of yard waste. Not a peep out of him. As I was in flip flops, shorts and a tank top, I went back to where I was working on the east side of my property, via the west side of my house, so as to avoid walking in the wet grass where he had just sprayed. I could smell the drift of the yard application as there was a light north breeze. He started spraying just a few feet north of where I was working and I tried to get his attention by yelling "HEY" once, then twice, then a third time. He removed an ear bud from one ear and said, "You don't have to yell." I asked him not to spray where I was still working after I responded with I tried to get your attention three times. He said he was just trying to do his job, which I interpreted as, "get out of my way!" He was going to continue to spray my yard where I told him I didn't want him to, when I told him to leave. He was a rude little prick and acted like me working in my own yard was a huge inconvenience to him. He wouldn't leave so I went to get my cell phone in the house and told him I was calling the cops. I called Austreims' Brookings office instead and reported the incident to a woman on the line. I am done with them! Why can't I give zero stars?

I was pleasantly surprised by an immediate response from the owner/operator of All Around Handyman, who requested that I select and schedule a date and time on his calendar which I did. Chad arrived ten-minutes early with a big smile on his face. I found him to be knowledgeable, professional, and respectful. As well as a very resourceful handyman. It was refreshing to meet a friendly handyman with a downhome attitude who shares a similar outdoor lifestyle as I. I hadn't laughed so much as a resident of Sioux Falls. Chad was precise as he measured, eyed, marked and hung a 3-piece Glass Wall Sconce Set on wall behind dining room table. Also, hung pictures on walls behind/above living room couch, the fireplace, office desk and bedroom headboard. Placement of these pictures made the apartment more attractive with a homey vibe. Now Chad is my go-to person for apartment services.
