Babysam Østerbro is the newest upshot of the Babysam chain, right in the heart of the family oriented neighbourhood of Østerbro. A match made in heaven, right?
The store itself is fine, but sort of... meh. Babysam is the largest Danish chain of baby and children's clothes and accessories, but this store feels like a missed opportunity. It's fairly small, and feels even smaller than it is, because of the layout of the store, which is narrow, but deep, making it feel cramped, even though it is fairly large.
Selection is pretty good, but again, for the largest chain in the country, I'd expect them to have everything and the kitchen sink, as in all the major brands (plus preferably also a range of lesser known ones), and a full range of products for each of them. Instead, they seem like they pick the most well-known "safe" brands, making this feel more like a random high street babyshop, rather than the specialist they should be. Prices are so-so, about middle of the range.
Service is quite good here, the people are nice and do what they can. Love the baby pram parking spaces outside.
So all in all, this seems a bit too much like a store that rests on the laurels of being the biggest brand in town. read more
