LMAO - I fell for the hype and ordered the food. This is exactly what they tell you it is: a place to go and be social. It's not a restaurant that cares about its food; they only seem to care about what it looks like to be there. The FOMO, the Instagram photos - that's how it appears to be. I ordered to-go on DoorDash, and let me preface that I have severely lowered my standards for any delivery food so, I'm never expecting food to taste how it would at the restaurant. Half the order was in edible. And the whole order was extremely overpriced and probably some of the worst food I've had in a while besides the buffalo cauliflower. We got the brisket grilled cheese with fries, a side of fries with cheese, and the cauliflower buffalo wings. If I had to rate this food, it would be a 1.5 out of 10. And the only thing that gets the 1.5 is the buffalo cauliflower wings. I would eat those again, and that's the only thing I would entertain. The french fries: one order was crispy and cooked, and the other order was mushy and raw in the middle. It looked like they dropped them in the fryer and immediately took them out. The cheese sauce that came with it was reminiscent of going to the movies in 1990 and being the only one who bought nachos that week, so you get that really old, gooey nacho cheese that clearly has fake ingredients. Their brisket grilled cheese was the worst brisket grilled cheese I've ever had. Separately, the bread was stale and not toasted; you literally could not even bite through the crust. There was one piece of cheese on one side of the bread with two mini onion rings that covered a corner of one of the sides of the bizarre "Texas toast." The brisket was bland and chewy. The barbecue sauce was bland and uneventful. The cauliflower wings were the best part, but for the exorbitant amount of money they charge, there should be more than a handful of tiny, bite-sized pieces. Everything is extremely overpriced, and most of the ingredients taste like they just pulled them off the Sysco truck and slapped them on a plate. The food is inconsistent and nothing to write home about. The food, in my opinion, is an afterthought. It seems like people got together and thought it would be cool to open up a bar but knew nothing about how to make food. But at least people's selfies will look great on Instagram. this place just opened a couple of weeks ago. We went last night (Saturday night) to check it out. The place was packed! Bar scene was happening. The crowd was mixed, in terms of age. Things that we liked: The decor is great; they knocked the renovation out of the park. The food was excellent. One member of our party has a few food allergies, and despite numerous requests on our part, (which honestly if I were the server I would have been irritated at this point), our server couldn't have been more helpful. Clearly, she's a way better person than I am lol. Speaking of food allergies, there is a gluten free chicken fingers option. It comes with fries, which curiously are NOT gluten free. I don't get why you would pair gluten free chicken fingers with non-gluten free fries. I'm assuming this is an oversight and I'm hopeful someone from the restaurant reads this review and makes a change to that. Things I didn't like: this place is LOUD!! like you literally cannot have a conversation in here, and I am NOT exaggerating. It was hot out, the air conditioner was on, and the doors and windows were open. Hot air, cold air conditioner equals condensation dripping from the HVAC onto my wife at our table, and on to me near the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it's literally in the weirdest place ever as you have to walk through the food prep area to get to it Its awkward with all that's going on there. Not much you can do about relocating plumbing I suppose. I'd like to come back and try more options on the menu, especially the pizza, but for me, It's going to be on a weeknight when hopefully its a little less crowded. If you're on a date and you don't have much to say, maybe this is the place to go on a weekend, since you can't here each other lol.
