Toy Cupboard offers a wide range of both boys and girls items, including the old and traditional train sets/Barbies, to the more modern children's crazes for example trading cards. Upstairs was were i scampered, to the toy cap guns, 'top trumps', and more. Although some items have become pretty pricey, most is modestly priced, perfect for easy children's birthday and Christmas Presents.

They always have plenty of stock, and lots of special offers. The Basingstoke branch doesn't have a toilet and baby changing facility, which is worth knowing as most branches have, but thats the only downside. Staff will go out of their way to help you. If what you want isn't on the shelves, they will go and check the warehouse: and last year when everywhere was sold out of pink DS Lites they weren't allowed to reserve stock for people but would call you as soon as the item came into stock.

Well, they've quite a lot (if you crane your neck to look up as well as down) and the prices are pretty competitive. If only it wasn't so bright, garish, there was an opportunity to rest your feet (the store's pretty big). Anyway, I still exited lighter of wallet, lighter of heart (got what I was looking for) and pleased that I, a father who has precious little time to go to real shops, managed to contribute to my little ones happiness.

Wilkinsons is great, everything you could want or need in one shop. I have often found myself…read morepopping in for something but cannot walk away without some bargains, the prices are excellent and often have a great deals. Things you actually want and need aswell unlike some shops which only offer things you dont really want but buy as they are on offer. They sell everything you could need, first is beauty products from make up to hair dye, cleaning stuff, bedroom furniture and paint, food, childrens toys, photo frames, books, fake christmas tree's, perfect gifts, gazebos and garden furniture. They only do baskets, which you will end up filling to the brim with complete bargins, the shop is well laid out and easy to navigate, staff are never very far away and always on hand to help.

Quite impressive for the breadth of products stocked, including toiletries and pet food, to paint and seasonal items as well as hardware for the home. A nice coke cooler provides coke cola, at just the right price and temp, as well as a decent confectionery area. Checkouts always well manned and the lower levels of service on the shop floor are covered by much lower prices. However much of what they sell isnt such a bargain as its much lower quality good, so be carefully and grab a good item for a decent price rather than a poor one for a low price

Hamlins toy shop used to be located on the High Street but moved to Lower Kings Road a few years…read moreago, I presume to take advantage of the larger premises. The shop is always well stocked with a variety of childrens toys, including some you are unlikely to find in many supermarkets. Reasonably priced, this would be the ideal place to purchase a child's Christmas present. How the shop survives the rest of the year I do not know, but it always seems to be fairly bustling, so I suggest combining a visit with a trip to Waitrose or something. It's not worth heading in to town for a visit alone, but be sure to bear it in mind.
