The ambiance strikes that perfect balance between intimate and energetic, making it ideal whether you're out for a relaxed night or celebrating something special. What really stood out, though, was the bartender's skill. You can tell immediately you're in good hands--knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they're doing. Every drink was crafted with precision and creativity, and the recommendations were spot on. It's rare to find a place that nails both atmosphere and service at this level, but BABs Secret Lounge absolutely delivers. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

We sat closer to the sandy area cause we were only indulging in drinks. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because we never were waited on so the bartenders knew me quite well. They seemed short staffed this Friday evening. I ordered a fun seasonal cocktail and it was delish. The live music was fabulous on this particular evening. The band was Midnight Blue. Side notes...in regards to bathrooms they have a port a potty trailer (it's on the side of the building).

I wanted to love this place. Sadly, I can't recommend it at this time. The first impression, was…read morean almost pitch black parking lot, in an industrial/sketchy neighborhood. It was supposed to be a Tiki bar and considering some of the areas we've found gems, we pressed on. Once we reached the entrance, we saw two Polynesian masks, unfortunately, once inside, no totems and almost no "Tiki" drinks. We tried a Blue Hawaiian, which was not up to par, though ok, for the environment. Initially, we were greeted by Country Music, in a supposed "Tiki" establishment. They do have a few nice tiki roofs and even two of the staff (I assume the owners, were wearing Hawaiian shirts). Televisions were abundant, unfortunately, the bathroom situation at present is "mobile". Upscale port-a-pottys. The string lights they have outside, big bulbs and over half of them off when we went. Now for the service, we were greeted by a sign that said seat yourself, it was rather busy, so we decided to sit at the bar. We saw five bartenders, some of whom saw us sit down and get done with the menu, but they seemed more dedicated to their phones than their jobs. I had to get their attention. Five of them and not a single one seemed to care initially. Moving on, the place is right on a lake and if they actually put effort in and promoted it, this could be a spot. In it's current state it needs serious help and some better quality drinks and servers. I can't comment on the food, saw bad reviews and considering the "Tiki" drinks on offer, I didn't want to waste any more money. Hopefully they'll take this review into consideration and improve.

Service is snot as friendly as it used to be a few years ago and the menu is not as good but still better. Ambience is beautiful but I think it's just not as busy as it used to be, probably since quality went down so much. We are definitely happy that they are changing in the right direction. I had vegan stir fry with tofu that was pretty good and green goddess sold was great as well. We also enjoyed healthy kids menu option.

The inside is really spacious, and the first thing you see when you walk in is a beautifully lit Christmas tree. We started with the crab rangoon, which was absolutely delicious! And for my entrée, I went with the steak frites, and it did not disappoint. The view was just as good as the food! Sitting back, enjoying the scenery, and spending time with great company made for a perfect Friday evening. Good food + beautiful views + great friends = a Friday well spent!

First visit... Finally! This place is hidden way back by the sports complex. They have a lot of…read moreadult beverages to choose from including hard liquor. For example they offer three different kinds of vodka with Tito's being one of them. It's on the fourth floor of the hotel with a view of the western sky for sunsets along with the sports fields. We kiddingly said parents could sit up here with alcohol in hand and cheer on their kids way below on the field. Seating: inside they have bar seating with about seven chairs. There is a single TV at the far left of the bar (see pic), so this is not ideal to watch sports on TV. No sound or closed caption. Outside it is just plain hot this time of year until the sun goes down. They have fans but for some reason they weren't on and the temp was 95. There were a couple people sitting outside but they didn't last long. Around sunset I'm sure this is the place to be. There are multiple sofas and areas to sit outside. Also a large Jenga stacking block game is available to play. There are at least two larger TVs outside. The parking lot indicates parking should be paid for. There are numerous signs with giant QR codes to do this. Since we were only there for an hour to grab a single drink we didn't pay for parking. When there are large tournaments going on at the neighboring sports complex I'm sure the hotel does a better job at patrolling who parks at the hotel and maybe then expects parking to be paid for. Drinks: happy hour is from 5p (when they open) to 7p. There is no happy hour menu (this would be a suggestion to make things easier on both the bartender and the customer). We were there at happy hour so took advantage of $8 white sangria and $8 cranberry with house vodka. They also give 10% off to locals. They normally have cards they provide for future use, but the bartender indicated they ran out and were on order. Food: There is a few food choices, including a smash burger and appetizers. They also had a couple cake slices on special. We didn't eat so can't speak to quality or time before ready. Service was average. There was only one bartender at 5:30p on a Wednesday with no sports going on at the complex. We got our drinks fairly quickly. They were tasty but served in small cocktail glasses and not much alcohol. For happy hour discounted pricing this is commonplace. I will be back to try it again, hopefully for a sunset this time!

I got the birria empanadas - the consumme was really good, the empanadas were good but not my favorite birria I've had, they just felt very heavy, even while eating them. The flavor was good though. Our daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and our toddler liked the kids chicken and rice bowl - there's a good variety of options on the menu which is nice. Our service was great - our server was attentive and on top of everything despite being the only one on the floor at the time. The overall vibe is what keeps us coming back. That said, we've had multiple unpleasant experiences with the same male bartender. The first time I visited, I had never been there before and asked which beer was the most popular or what people ordered the most. Instead of answering my question, he simply pointed at the menu on the wall and said, "That's our menu." I wasn't asking what beers you had, I was asking for a recommendation. It came across as dismissive. On another visit, I had a wonderful experience with a female bartender. She was friendly, accommodating, and made my drink exactly how I requested. Unfortunately, on a later visit I ended up with the same male bartender again. I ordered a cocktail and politely asked if he could make it a little sweeter. His response was, "We make it how we make it." I told him that was completely fine and just asked if he could make it slightly sweeter. He replied, "I'll try." The drink came out with no sweetness at all, and it honestly didn't seem like any effort was made to accommodate a simple request. I don't expect every request to be possible, but I do expect friendly customer service and a willingness to help when it's something so minor. Thankfully, the atmosphere, events, and the rest of the staff have been great enough that we continue coming back. I just hope the customer service is more consistent because Starkey Market is otherwise such a wonderful place.
