I ordered two new tyres for my VW Golf Mk1. Muna (owner) undertook the below with care and professionalism: * switched my front tyres to the rear * sandblasted the old rear rims as they had rust, to remove said rust * bead sealed them * balanced the wheels * put the new tyres on the front. All of the above was done in a genuinely friendly manner. Muna talked me through what he was doing at each stage in easy to understand terms which helped me to comprehend. He also provided advice on a number of other matters. I was talking to Muna throughout as he had lots of tips and advice. AMS Motors is a family business (three generations) that has been operating for over 40 years. Even though I got there at 9am, I witnessed a lot of repeat customers coming in which demonstrates the trust, brand loyalty and experience they have built up. I found this a refreshing experience and would highly recommend AMS Motors.

I went to Taj Quick Fit Hounslow a Week ago and the MOT Tester really p***** me off when he Took…read morealmost 2 Hours to check my Car and at the end it failed the MOT and tried hard to force me to do the repairs from their own Mechanics Who gave me a total of £350 quotation which Included changing of rear fog light bulbs for (£25 plus VAT). Next day I went to another MOT Station Nearby and the guy put the Bulb and re tested the MOT without any problem and charged me £5 for the Fog Light Bulb. All I say is these Peoples in Hounslow are really crooks they try their best to convince peoples that their cars had serious peoblem and need repairs from their own Workshop which is totally a Scam.

I…read morecannot, in all good conscience however, find a reason not to give the maximum in this instance, even if I were attempting to be 'hard'. We had owned our car (a much loved Toyota Corolla) for around twelve years and in this time we had not even so much as scratched it. It was heart-breaking therefore that, during a spate of bad weather and a badly placed large plant pot, we managed to seriously damage the bodywork; a scratch the length of the car on the driver's side along with two massive dents on both driver door and passenger door behind. We took it to Arlington Motors who very kindly advised on the damage thoroughly, showed me (an extremely un-engineering type) how the process was going to be conducted and advised that a rival company located next door would charge 4x the value for simply replacing the doors rather than actually fix the damage (i.e. the easy option for them). Having heard the sales talk elsewhere before I did indeed check with his immediate rival who did indeed quote me an absurd price which would have meant it being easier to replace the car than fix the damage. We therefore left the car with Arlington and picked the car back up after our honeymoon. The damage has completely disappeared, no trace of either dents or bodywork scratch evident. I simply cannot fault the work at all which is of an extremely high standard. To top this off he had also valeted the car for us of his own accord so that when we received it back it was gleaming both inside and out. I cannot thank the owner enough for his honesty and hard-work. Should we (touch wood, hopefully not) receive a need to have the bodywork touched up again then I will be immediately taking it to Arlington; a tried and trusted bodywork repair shop!
