Prices are out of sync with the area as well. We all know food has gone up, but ShopRite tends to take extra advantage of that trend. With a super Walmart across the street, one would expect the competition to make a difference in prices. The only difference is that ShopRite is frequently many price points higher than Walmart. While ShopRite is ok, it could be much better.

Their sandwiches are great. They have specialty meats and cheeses you won't find anywhere else. Their Italian sausage is the best, and no one else compares. I've been going here for over 30 years and don't even live in the area. My parents and relatives shopped here for years and continue to do so. I've never found another Italian grocery store that compares. If I ever moved out of NJ, this would be one of the places I miss. The customer service is awesome, and I've never had an issue, and I've worked in the grocery store business for years. If you're comparing Bagliani's to Wawa, you must think McDonald's is the same as a high-end steakhouse. My only complaint with Bagliani's, is I thought the store should have been expanded years ago. This place is a hidden gem for those that know about it.

Visiting on a Saturday was a bad idea, as the parking lot and the prepared food area were both mobbed like you wouldn't believe. It was also the day before the Super Bowl, which probably didn't help matters. We ordered a range of food, including chocolates, pretzels, eggs, a pretzel dog, macaroni salad, cole slaw, asiago and spinach dip, snickerdoodle cookies, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting. Prices were decently reasonable and the food was tasty but not out-of-this-world good like I recall from my childhood. Check out locations could also get confusing between vendors.
