Baba Dondurma is located close to the city center of Fethiye. It is family owned and operated by a husband and wife. All of the dondurma is made upstairs with handpicked locally made products. I visited Baba Dondurma after a local highly recommended the shop. Entrance of the shop boasts a selection of about 12 different dondurma flavours. Each flavour is specially made weekly. The inside of the shop is filled with smells of cinnamon. You can find the wife making homemade cones. There are a few tables so you can enjoy your dessert while sitting. The flavours are absolutely incredible. During my visit, I tried the melon, banana, and cherry. The owner also brought me fresh coffee dondurma to try- and honestly, it was fantastic. I met with the owner personally and he said that he hand picks all of the ingredients. This is what makes the dondurma so delicious! Overall, if you're in Fethiye, you need to come here. This is the best dondurma in Fethiye and perhaps in all of Turkey. Try the coffee flavour! read more

The best ice cream in Turkey!!! I've tried traditional, elastic Turkish ice cream, Mado is famous for it, but I've never particularly liked it. I can appreciate it but Baba Dondurma is on a whole other level!! Creamy like gelato but even better because they use fresh, all natural ingredients. I tried plum, vanilla and fig. Oh the fig!!!! Why is this flavor not all over Turkey?? It's a revelation! And they use real vanilla bean in their vanilla, a far cry from the milk "Sade" flavor you usually find everywhere else. This place is innovative, modern and fresh, please come to Ankara! They love what they do and you can tell in the taste. I'll have to go back to try more of these fantastic original flavors! Tahini and cold brew coffee are next. And of course the fig is a must!! read more
