My actual appointment took place through Mind Divers in Tulare, CA on 5/27/26 via Zoom. I had a Zoom appointment with Karambir Singh, PA and it was honestly one of the worst mental health appointments I have ever experienced. The appointment lasted only about 15 minutes, yet within that short amount of time he was already telling me I was misdiagnosed with ASD/ADHD and that what I was experiencing was just depression and anxiety. This was without reviewing my psychological evaluation report, without reviewing prior records and without even fully hearing my history. What made the situation worse was that it became obvious he had not even read the detailed intake questions and answers I completed before the appointment. I had spent time filling everything out thoroughly to help the provider understand my background, symptoms, struggles and history, yet during the appointment it felt like he knew almost nothing about what I had already submitted. He did ask about my prescription history, but because I have had years of treatment and multiple medications, I explained that I could send him a detailed medication report so he could accurately review everything instead of relying on memory alone. He did not want it. Neither did he ask for my psychological report for my diagnosis. As I tried explaining myself, I felt interrupted, talked over, dismissed and judged throughout the appointment. Instead of trying to understand me as a patient, it felt like assumptions were being made within minutes of meeting me. Toward the end of the appointment, I asked him what he specialized in and even asked for his name because the appointment had become so uncomfortable. Instead of professionally answering, I was told I could "do my own research." I have been in therapy and mental health treatment for many years and have gone through formal evaluations. I understand not every provider is the right fit, but this experience felt cold, rushed, dismissive and careless from beginning to end. This is my personal experience and opinion, but I would not recommend this provider to autistic, ADHD, or neurodivergent patients looking for someone who takes time to listen before making conclusions

I spoke with Schlene on a Friday and emailed her a synopsis of my concerns and about our conversation a couple of days later. She asked that I send them to Michelle Quinonez, a director at the mental health hospital. I sent my email to Michelle every day for a week. No response. Michelle was supposed to forward my email to Schlene Peet, who is an interim director. After several days without a response, I was told Deborah Volosin would be very interested in our experience and she would definitely want to be aware. I sent the email to her twice - no response. I also copied Gary Herbst - no response. My family member said they would rather die at home than to ever go back to this facility. I cannot verbalize how heartbreaking this is. You need me to email you my contact information? Schlene and Michelle have that information. YOU can reach out to me. You mention someone reaching out to me promptly? That has never been the case so I am not sure why you are saying that. Is my family member better, as Schlene asked? NO! My family member is WORSE!!!!!

I watched staff for 4 hours on day one and they would come in and check her vitals and leave but never emptied out her full catheter bag nor offer her water. I finally ended up emptying out the bag at hour 2 and asked the next nurse how often are they supposed to empty it out and she told me "oh just push the call button and we will come". So I guess it's not part of their patient care to check catheter bags unless patient requests for it to be emptied out. Day 2 still in 3South, I came in and her IV machine was beeping and it can be heard in the hallway. It took a nurse an 45 minutes to come and check the IV machine which was not pushing her fluids. Day 3 still in 3South, my mom calls me to tell me she hit her call button and had been waiting about 10 minutes to get help to use restroom but no one came and she ended up soiling herself. I HAD to call to get a CNA to go check on her and that still took another 10 minutes. When the CNA finally comes into the room, she asks my mom "Do you want something to clean yourself?". Ummm, hello she couldn't get up on her own to use the restroom so you think she can clean herself?? Really?? By far the worst care I've seen so far offered by this hospital. I do want to say I am giving it a 3 star as she had a wonderful RN and CNA at night who took really good care of her and my mother made sure to tell me how well they took care of her. Seems like the lack of care is on the day shifts.
