Baanya Biami is a great self-contained campsite in the Brisbane Ranges National Park. The owners live and work on the premises, and they can fit 100 people (min of 25) in 15 cabins and one dorm. The kitchen is fully catered and they do some fab meals, and even better breakfasts. Some mornings it's pancakes, some it's bacon and eggs.
There are heaps of activities like the flying fox, which is scary and yes I do scream even as a twenty year old flying down that thing (although slightly heavier these days there's a bit of bum drag at the end!). There's also a giant swing, archery, rock climbing, volleyball, a low ropes course and many other bits and pieces.
The beach is only a twenty minute drive away, and there's also Anakie Fairy Park and Sovereign Hill close by. read more
