I got a tattoo done yesterday by Cha and I love it so much! It was my first and I was incredibly nervous, but she was so reassuring. I had a very good experience. I've gotten so many compliments on my tattoo already and it's only been a couple of hours! read more

I've been meaning to write this review for a while now! I went in a few months back to get my first tattoos - I had booked my appointment with Cha after browsing here on yelp and her Insta. The whole experience was lovely. I was a little nervous given my first time, but she was so friendly, listened to what I wanted, and also very patient. I couldn't be happier with the two tattoos! They're perfect and just what I wanted. I can't wait to go back. The studio is also super clean and neat, which adds to the overall experience. Thank you, Cha! read more

I had such a wonderful experience with Cha! She is so kind, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly talented. You know how sometimes after getting a tattoo, you catch yourself looking at it and noticing little imperfections? This was the complete opposite!! The more I look at my tattoo, the more I love it :) She is also SO gentle. I was expecting it to hurt a lot more, but it ended up being a relatively painless experience. The studio was clean, comfortable, and everyone was so welcoming. Overall, for my first tattoo, the entire process was seamless from start to finish. I'm incredibly happy with how it turned out and will definitely be booking with Cha again. Thank you so much, Cha - you are awesome!! read more

I had discovered Cha on social media and was very happy with my choice of her as my tattoo artist, after exploring options. I had been custom designing a very meaningful piece (also my first tattoo) and in my experience, higher price for an artist = higher quality. Her email responses were kind and intentional. She took the time to listen and dialogue, and not only make sure my detailed thoughts were translated, but elevated the design with her artistry and thoughtfulness. The studio is very cute and mellow as well, I felt really comfortable. read more

We booked Cha for a custom couples tattoo and our experience was great! Cha is very responsive and helpful during the design consultation and booking process (via email). We're very happy with how the custom turned out-- taking inspiration from the Everything Everywhere All At Once movie's line "in another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you" and incorporating our traditional cultural clothing (hanbok and thawb) on a clothesline :) The studio was clean, bright, and wasn't too busy, which provided a great environment for our session. Cha was communicative and patient (husband's first tattoo!) to add to the ease of the day. Cha's attention to detail and steady hands mean a great piece w/ the finest of lines :) read more

I have come to get tattoos from Cha three times and each time was such a fantastic experience. Everyone at the studio was so kind and made me feel very comfortable. The tattoos I got healed beautifully and are my favorite tattoos I have gotten to date. Thank you B36 Tattoo and Cha for your great customer service and quality work! I would 100% recommend this tattoo studio! read more

Cha at B36 tattoo is amazing. I have gotten 5 tattoos from her over the last few months. I first came across the shop while walking Melrose. I then scheduled two different appointments with Cha. Her line work is gorgeous, and it doesn't even feel like I'm getting a tattoo! I have been so happy with my experiences. The shop is overall very clean and has plenty of seating. The team offers refreshments while you wait as well 10/10 recommend! read more

The best fineline tattoo studio in town! I work in the area. One day I just walked in. Cha did an amazing job. I have tattoos all over my body but it was my first time to get a fineline tattoo. It was on my neck. So detailed. She is very knowledgeable and a true artist! And the studio got nice chill vibe. Everyone who worked there were really nice too. Definitely I'll go back for my second one!! read more

I got a tattoo fixed from Cagla , I originally had a tattoo of No face from spirited away done by someone who was not a professional and the lines were uneven and faded. I didn't know it was fixable but Cha fixed it and it looks 10 times better now! Thank you so much, great energy read more

I was looking up fine line tattoos and I found this shop with artist Cha and her work is stunning! I've actually come here twice. Once for a consultation to fix an old tattoo and again a second time for a new tattoo. I didn't go through the first time I went because we weren't confident we could get it to a place I'd be happy with but that didn't dissuade me from coming back and getting a fresh tattoo! My friend wanted a tattoo on Friday the 13th for good luck and I knew just the place. It was really easy to book and appointment via email and $100 for appointment deposit for the both of us. My friend got a bee and I got unhinged vertically coming down the back of my ear. We met with Cha and she drew out our tattoos and let us make adjustments to the art and sizing while giving us recommendations for what she thought worked best and then we went to town! Cha is extremely professional and straightforward. It was a very painless experience (the most painful part was the tattoo which wasn't bad at all!) and we are very appreciative of Cha and her work. My friend's tattoo was about $250 and mine was $200. It was super quick and easy. We finished in about 1.5 hours for the both of us maybe less. Street parking was easy especially since we came in the morning right when they opened. They also had special Friday the 13th tattoos for $100-150 and they were so fun. I kinda wanna come back again next time for a flash tattoo. read more

If you can, book Cha here. She is bright, happy, caring, and knowledgeable. It's all the things you want in a tattoo artist. I've provided pictures of her work when freshly done and mid healing stages for your viewing pleasure. She was easily able to make me feel comfortable and took the time to get the design perfect before implementing. Additionally, her skills as an artist are second to none. She was able to do such clean lines without bleed or blow out. I was extremely impressed! Lastly, the aftercare is also gold standard. She walks you through everything you need to do in order to have a best recovery. I highly recommend B36 and Cha. read more

My wife and I have both gotten tattoos from Cha, and every single time it has been an amazing experience. My wife first got a small lettering tattoo and later a delicate butterfly on her hand, and I had a bee tattooed on my shoulder and another design on the inside of my arm. All of them came out absolutely perfect -- even better than we imagined. Cha made us feel comfortable throughout the whole process, and the studio itself is super clean, welcoming, and professional. We couldn't be happier with our tattoos and we'll definitely be back again. Highly recommend B36 Tattoo if you're looking for beautiful and precise work! read more

I cannot say enough good things about my tattoo artist Ale. Not only is he insanely talented, but his energy is also everything - calm, positive, and super grounded. Cha pierced my nose yesterday. She put the tiniest piercing in and it does not even fully go into my nose. My nose literally hurts so bad. She was also in a rush once she pierced it. She didn't even give me after care instructions because she was rushing to talk to some guy who walked in. I trusted her to pierce my nose because it seemed like she knew what she was doing but I guess not. read more

I walked into here to get a tattoo for my first solo trip (here in LA) and I asked a few questions and she priced me and I stated that it was a lot for a small tattoo and that I would think about it because I really wanted it. Her client that she just finished got up, and I asked to see the work on her arm because Ive only ever been to one tattoo artist and wanted to see before I dedicated myself to it. I smiled and complimented her on them (she had several small line tattoos done on her arm) and I asked how much she paid for it all. Before she could answer me the lady walked up to me and said "Excuse me if you have a question you can ask me. They are MY clients and they paid over $700". I don't know what the motive of being rude to me was, and talking to me in any kind of way but as I was leaning towards getting it I silently got up and walked out. Where I'm from people are nice, we enjoy conversation and I have been here alone for 4 days. I stated I was just wanting to see the tattoos and asked how much all of them were together being that she said store policy was "$200 a tattoo minimum" She still snapped at me with an attitude and told me I can ask her and not them. Seemed like a guilty act to me, and I could have thought 10 of those tattoos. I don't want something on my arm for the rest of my life from someone who made me feel less of myself just for making conversation. read more

Looking to get a minimalistic tattoo (emphasizing in fine lines), come here! I woke up today wanting to get inked and discovered this place. Great pricing, clean environment and great artists. Myself and my partner got a tattoo, we had Karina as our tattoo artist and she did an amazing job. One of my tattoo which is the constellation was done by ANOTHER artist who was fairly new. I got a discount when getting something done with her, like a practice. She did a fair job. I support individuals who are striving to be better! So next time I come back I hope she has more practice and is better. I believe in you girl! Overall this place is a good tattoo shop!! Thank you KARINA and the other girl tattoo artisit for such cute tattoos. read more

I just got a tattoo from Cha and she was great. She executed my concept exactly how I envisioned it. I was most impressed by her eye for composition -- I came in with an idea for where I wanted it, and right away she had an even better suggestion for placement. I have other tattoos on my arms, and she took into account both how my new one would look in relation to the one closest to it, and also the flow of all the tattoos on my arm, and even in comparison to the flow and sizing of all my tattoos on BOTH arms! I was so impressed by this. I love all my tattoo artists, but I have to say she had the best eye for overall composition. The studio itself was super chill, clean and just a very relaxing environment to be in. I was actually sad she finished mine so quickly, and I left immediately wanting more. Thank you, Cha! read more

I got my first tattoo done with Cha last Thursday and I am in love! We communicated through email and she was quick and responsive. I paid a $100 deposit via Zelle (venmo is possible too) and was given an estimate for time and cost. Street parking can be tough, but I found some free parking in a nearby neighboring street. The studio was nice and clean. After checking in and filling out paperwork, we received the design idea. She sketched it and we reviewed again. Cha was receptive and welcoming to feedback, which I appreciated. The pre-tattoo process took about an hour and the actual tattooing took two hours. I was able to take little breaks in between and she checked in with me throughout the process. My partner was also able to accompany me and we were both offered drinks. I paid via credit card for the remaining balance. Overall, I am very happy and would consider returning for another tattoo in the future! read more

My wife and I were the first customers in the new shop (whoop whoop!) Cha and her staff are absolutely amazing. This was my wife's first tattoo and she was always opposed to getting one. It took someone special (wink wink) to finally get one, and after seeing Cha's exclamatory work my wife and I both decided to get inked together. The studio is very comfortable and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly professional and made us both feel at home. Cha answered all of our questions and concerns with patience before we went in. She explained the whole process before beginning the tattoos while working with us to make sure we were 100% happy with the design. Cha has a very light hand so we barely felt it. Afterward, she provided us with written aftercare instructions and also took the time to go over them with us. We couldn't be happier with B36 Tattoo, Cha, and the whole staff. We'll be recommending any friends interested in tattoos to them in the future. Big thumbs up! read more
