All people sit, there is no standing at the bar so the place was almost full when we found a place. Most chairs are along long tables and this creates a nice atmosphere. This place is were friends meet and discuss, couples sit and talk..... and everybody drinks beer. There are literaly hundreds of beers available. Chalkboards are filled with more or less exotic brands and names and the beer tap has around twenty draught beers which are brewn by the BQ microbrewery. We tried only a few of the different brews and we really liked them. Just try one or two and let the enthousiastic bartender explain some typical differences, like all the different herbs they use. The only thing we did not really like was the smell of the rather fatty food they serve, like fries and burgers.

These brews are so darn good and well balanced that they give Belgian and German beers a run for their money. If you're in town and want to sip on something different than wine, swing by BQ. I had the spiced saison which was a nice beer, perfect to sit on the canal with. Once you get your beer you can walk around with it. Definitely worth a stop if you pass by it!
