In November, 2024, we hired Dourado Drywall to install new siding on our house. Fabio Dourado had…read moreworked for us before and we had grown to trust him. We gave him a $10,000 deposit to buy materials. The holidays and the exceptionally cold winter postponed starting the job. We understood this and were patient. In the spring there were many excuses about why the work wasn't started. We were eager to get the work going but believed he was finishing up other jobs. As time passed, we began to wonder if the materials had even been ordered. Numerous calls and voice mails left to Fabio and his wife, Amanda, who runs the office, went unanswered. We sometimes got texts promising they'd call back or stop by to get started but they never did. We found out later that the materials had never been ordered. It's been over eight months since the deposit was given. Fabio Dourado and his wife misled and outright lied to us for an embarrassingly long time. We finally asked for our deposit back. Fabio immediately said yes, he'd return the money. He has not shown up for the several appointments he made to return it. Clearly, he doesn't intend to do so. Posting at least on star is required, otherwise I wouldn't give any. BUYER BEWARE of Dourado Drywall and Repair in the New Bedford and Boston areas. We do not want others to be scammed. We intend to pursue all available resources in order to have our deposit returned.

I am renovating my home and didn't trust myself to finish the ceiling after hanging new Sheetrock. A quick search revealed Gary Ellis being a reputable finisher in the Cape area. Gary quoted me and began work the following week. He kept me updated with daily progress and let me know of any road-blocks throughout the finishing process. Gary was always professional and polite during our phone calls together. After our original quote agreement, Gary offered to finish sections of drywall throughout the house as well, since I there were large holes from rewiring the electrical. After this He even went on to assist in finishing my hallway closet so that I was in a position to complete on my own. This is something that stuck out to me as a client, really reinforcing the fact that Gary had my best interest as a customer in mind. I would recommend Gary Ellis to anybody who is looking for a quality finish for their drywall. 5 stars would hire again.

From start to finish this company was professional, on time, on budget, and installed correctly…read more The workspace was cleaned up when they left and the employees were very nice. We had a custom build for our dogs which turned out exactly the way we wanted it and the company took the time to modify the build to have the doors open straight up instead of hinged so they would not bump into the walls of the room as well as find a material they used for the screens that would hold up to our dogs scratching and jumping at it. I would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future.
