Nice public walking, running and biking trail.
I am a fan.
There are parts that are a bit...sketchy. We were staying down by the Cardinal Spirits/Hopscotch Coffee area of the B-Line Trail, and a stretch goes behind the Kroger over there. It was broad daylight, middle of the day, and even then my friend and I were a little on alert due to the folks who were obviously on something or coming down from it. If I were running or on a bike, I would have been less on edge as I am pretty sure I would be through these spots very quickly.
Other than those spots though, I like the idea of the B-Line!
There is a lot of public art, both official and unofficial.
The paved trail is well-marked and well-maintained.
It looks like there is a decent amount of lighting that would make it safe, inviting, and useable for longer than just daylight hours (assuming that all those lights are functional).
As an oft and preferred pedestrian and non-motorized-vehicle get-around-town-er, I like dedicated paths and trails that keep us out of the way of unruly motorists!
A big draw, and I can only hope it is good for the city and connecting neighborhoods. read more
