For their radio jingle being "BG &S Transmissions, We're Good At What We Do" you would think they'd be good at fixing your vehicle, but we found they're mostly good at ripping you off. We took our pickup there because the transmission had been slipping around road gear. They are supposed to do a free diagnostic of what the problem is and then call and see if you would like them to fix it, but my husband got called after they had already "fixed" the problem and were about to close. They said it was bad wiring and that it would be $75. We didn't raise a fuss about it because hey, stuff happens, they probably just forgot to call. So we paid the $75 and went home. A week later the transmission started to slip again. My husband explained to them what had happened, they said they would do a diagnostic on it. Just kidding! They called again, right before they were going to close, and said that it was a battery terminal that was corroded and that they had just gone ahead and fixed it. My husband and his mechanic friend didn't know what that even had to do with the transmission. So my husband swings by and tries to pay the $20 service fee with his debit card, and the guy there doesn't know how to run the card machine. So my husband has to run to an ATM and get 20 bucks to pay for something we weren't even expecting to be charged for. We probably will not go back there again. read more
