I stumbled upon this B&B upon the website recommendation of a wine tour that I booked - - and could not have been happier with my 3-night stay! I travel A LOT for work (100+ nights/yr) and always stay in hotels. But the charming hospitality, modern conveniences, close proximity to town, and extreme attention to detail have made this little B&B one of my favorite stay experiences. Basically for 3 nights, I felt as though I was staying in my own little apartment - - my room had everything (and more) that I could have needed. Large balcony with picturesque views... modern bathroom with amenities... large spacious room.... super comfortable bed... desk complimentary WiFi that worked flawlessly! :) (much appreciated!) Raffaella & Lorenzo are the most gracious and generous hosts. I'd love to go back in a heartbeat. Any detail that you may have thought of, they already have it for you at this charming, small-city B&B. Take your car to the "Piazza della Vittoria", and leave it there, you can walk to the B&B without any effort and your car is secure the whole time because there is a surveillance camera watching the place. (cost: 24h = 20€, not cheap but I didn't find any other place for my car) Once arrived at the B&B you will meet the nice owner, she is realy lovely and try to help you wherever she can. She also speaks english which makes the communication a lot easier, especially if you don't speak italien. Even if the stay is very close to a main street, one could say almost "on" the main street, the B&B is quite at all and you don't have problems to find your sleep at night. Rooms are clean, which is the most important thing and the include kind of "classic" furniture but those are fitting the room quite well. Comming to the breakfast, you have everything you need. Not a huge selection of everything but an average and good selection of what the most people like. You have fresh brewed coffee, chocolate, cappuccino or espresso. Selections of fruits and bread. Jam and cold cuts. Overall this place is definitely worth a recommendation.

I booked directly on the Le Dortoir website which guaranteed the best rates. If you book directly with them, reminder to be aware of conversation rates and foreign transaction fees since they do not have the option to book in USD. When we arrived, our room was ready and we were promptly greeted by their staff who also helped carry our luggage with us to the second floor. I believe Le Dortoir has their rooms on the second, third, and fourth floor of the building but you have to climb three sets of stairs to get to the second floor since the ground floor starts on floor 0. There is no elevator which is probably the only con. The rooms are just as pictured. Super modern, clean, and spacious. We loved the hardwood floors, rain shower, and natural lighting which came in from three large windows that spanned the entire side of the room. We booked a room with a balcony which we highly recommend as that was probably our favorite part of the room. Located in a bustling area of Nice, the balcony overlooked the town center and provided a fun area to relax, unwind, and people-watch after a long day of exploring Nice. The room includes a mini fridge, Nespresso machine and wine opener/drinking glasses. The only strange thing was that housekeeping came into our room even when we had the "Do not disturb" sign on. We thought we had forgotten to put the sign up the first day, but even after checking the second and third day, they continued to come in. We had no issues with our stuff and didn't feel the need to make a compliant but we did think that was a bit strange. They have staff in their office located on the "ground floor" (one set of stairs from the entrance) during working hours if you have questions during your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and would definitely come back next time we are in Nice.

I told him we just needed tea & coffee and before we were done we had much more. Omlette seasoned with basil and made with farm fresh eggs, a selection of excellent salamis from the region, juice, yogurt, etc. And as I have found everywhere in Italy some great coffee.
