They'll promise "a quick…read morefix," then hold your car hostage long enough for you to question your life choices -- and when you finally get it back, you'll notice the bumper now has its own independent spirit, bravely refusing to align with the rest of the car. What's truly impressive, though, is their pricing magic trick: somehow, the total ends up being about twice what you were told, and yet the quality manages to be half of what you expected. It's almost artistic how little pride they take in their work. If you enjoy paying premium rates for subpar craftsmanship and long naps in the waiting room, this is absolutely your place

I would recommend Maggiano's to others!

Bringing my car somewhere for repairs I've felt uncomfortable and in over my head, wondering if I'm getting ripped off. A few days ago someone side swiped my drivers side mirror while it was parked on the street. I did some research on local mechanics and called Maggianos. They picked up immediately and said they'd be available that day to take a look. From the start I was given great, honest, friendly service that included price estimates and regular updates on my side mirror. Any questions I had were answered thoroughly, and within two days I had a brand new side mirror installed. I'm thrilled to have found a reliable mechanic in my neighborhood, and couldn't be happier with my experience.

(Even when I said I wanted to get a second opinion before scheduling repairs). Such good people. When researching, I got great reviews from others in the neighborhood and went back to get the repairs done. They fit me in within 2 weeks. Once I dropped my car off it was done within 2 days during an extreme heat wave. They also gave me a reasonable price. My car is driving like new now and I feel relieved. 10/10 recommend. Thank you!!!

The staff at Central Auto service saved the day at 5pm on a Friday when they could have told us…read more"sorry, we can't help you until tomorrow". We had taken our Kia Sorrento for an oil change while visiting the Albany area. It needed 6 quarts of oil to complete. We thought they probably forgot to reset the Oil Change indicator message afterwards so we reset it. Three days later, started getting dashboard messages for oil low, then today red check engine light. We did not see any visible signs of a leak but dash warnings were glaring. Looked up Yelp reviews for most reputable place and it said Central Auto service. They were closing soon but said bring it in. Sure enough, when they checked the dipstick it was dry, no oil. They removed the engine guard panel and oil began spilling out everywhere. The previous place had used the wrong size seal. I was hours away from seizing my engine. They let me take videos of the entire process so I can send back to previous service center for reimbursement. I can't thank this place enough for saving my car and my weekend as I need to travel out of state tomorrow. I highly recommend Central Auto for their honesty, transparency and help

They said it would take about 90 minutes and it was ready on time. However, when I went up to pay, there was now a gentleman quoting me $210. Great okay. I swipe my card and go on my way without realizing that they charged me $229. I call when I get home and explain the discrepancy. The woman responded and said "sure can you come in?" I thought it was plausible I would get the additional money back but when I get there she said "oh it's because we charge 3% on credit card payments" which is a crazy statement because I used a DEBIT card, they did more than a 3% fee and they couldn't tell me that on the phone before I wasted 30 minutes? This place is a joke, you're better off going somewhere else.

I used to really like this place... small, neighborhood business with no complaints about the…read moreservice. HOWEVER today I called to make an appointment for state inspection for my car. I'm in my seventies and live less than a mile away. When I asked if I could get a ride back home after dropping off my car, I was told NO... I'm the only one here (which is not true, as it's a father and son operation... the son is the mechanic... the father handles the phones and taking payments) and I can't leave the shop. Now this would be a legitimate answer IF the following hadn't happened: Last summer, I called to make an appointment and for an entire week, probably at least thirty calls, no one answered the phone or returned my call after leaving a message. Turns out that they had closed down for vacation without leaving any kind of message on their phone system that they were closed for the week. When I finally got through the next week and questioned why there was no phone message that they were closed, I was told that it was too complicated and time consuming to do. So, it's OK to close for a week with no information available whatsoever, but can't drive someone home, which would take maybe ten minutes roundtrip. Now, I'm supposed to walk home, and back again to pick the car back up, in 15 to 20 degree weather? Hung up and got an appointment at Wark's in Merion, where I can walk to in less than a minute. I understand that they do excellent work.
