It must be the biggest B&Q in the known universe!! (although I don't get out much and maybe there are bigger B&Q's somewhere in the world). It sells everything you could ever need to produce DIY disasters. The staff are fantastic and give you as much advice as you need - go midweek and you can chat all afternoon on the merits of different boilers and how you can save a fortune fitting it yourself! Try not to take small children - they like touching all the nails and screws and it takes forever to find them because it is just so biiiiggg.(don't forget to look in the playhouse at the front door!). Medium sized B & Q in the business district of Inverness. Comprehensive stock of DIY equipment and materials. Some home furnishings and gardening as well. Well stocked tool department. Front of store is not particularly well laid out and the displays at the front of the first few aisle can make it difficult to manoeuvre a trolly. Trollys themselves are often hard to find and many are in a poor state of repair. The above aside it is a very well stocked store which fills a niche no-one else in the area could hope to. The girls in the kitchen are wonderful , all of them , we bought our kitchen a few weeks ago . BUT a wee while ago I wanted a large batch of emulsion to do a complete house , I couldnt find what I was looking for so I asked this guy who was stacking shelves with a ladder thing on wheels , who was stacking the paints . Well what a dope he was!!!! , he said" na we havna got that paint" , I was on my way out to Wicks when I spotted my emulsion at the end of an isle , I needed 10 large tubs, but I couldnt help going back to the "dope" who said "they musa cam in the day". At the check out I mensioned how lucky I was my paint came in today, (I think she had Sheila on her overal , and works now at the kitchens ), said "no we always had that in stock". SO B&Q GET RID OF THIS DOPE !! read more

The women on the customer service are the rudest most unhelpful people iv ever came across. I wont bother telling my story. I urge you to go in and find out for yourself, even if just for a laugh. I spoke to someone in the shop and they told me to go to the pound shop as it's the same stuff. I take my hat of to him and fair play to him he was correct I saved £18 on grass seed. You can keep your big chain store, it's a rip off. read more
