Small towns are the best when it comes to customer service…read more Could there be anything worse than traveling in the middle of a not-so-populated area and having a flat tire with no spare on a rental car? Yes, I suppose there are worse things, but at this particular time and place, it seemed to me to be the worst thing ever. Fortunately. though, it wasn't a weekend, was early in the day, the nearest tire shop was only a short distance (with not a gas station in site) and the nice gentleman was willing to check things out -- confirming the tire was just low on air and not leaking -- reinflating the tire and sending me on my way. And, despite the out of state license plates on that rental car, he wasn't even snarky about the "tourist". Small towns are the best.

I walked in and was totally impressed. The store is large, well stocked with all sorts of items (snacks, needed items, souvenirs, and fountain drinks), VERY CLEAN, with immaculate restrooms. I highly recommend taking the exit to stop here if you're needing gas or supplies. The girl behind the counter was very sweet, and the locals are in and out doing their shopping. I could tell there was a sense of community there in Hysham.
