In going to update my review. I had a much better experience this time than the last few here. The lobby, common areas, restrooms, and at least theater 5 were all very clean. Not completely trashed like last time. Of course, the tickets kiosks at the front weren't working. They rarely do at any B&B Theater. The lone employee I interacted with (at the box office) was pleasant. He scanned my barcode and gave me a ticket. I'm not sure why they still print paper tickets since we have barcodes in our email and proof of purchase in the app (if you can find it) because no one has ever asked to see my ticket at a B&B. The movie (Marty Supreme) was good. The sound was super loud and the theater was freezing, as always in the winter. But I came prepared with a t-shirt, long sleeve flannel shirt and a cashmere cardigan which I wore the whole time. Next time I will bring a lap blanket too. I just bring an empty water bottle and fill it up at the drinking fountain (no outside food or drink) and a pocket full of gum or mints. I follow the rules, but I'm not paying $25 for a drink and some popcorn. If they ever stop fleecing people, that will change. read more

Staff is very helpful and nice. Very clean theatre with space for private theatre rentals, groups, date night or solo dates. They have soda kiosks that you can choose from many different types of Coca Cola products. Popcorn is fresh and delicious. Butter and multiple seasonings for popcorn is available at no extra cost. read more

Went to watch the new avatar movie. The movie was great but there were sound issues during the movie. The biggest issue was the Ridiculous amount of commercials before they started the movie. They had 45 minutes of commercials and only started the movie because people were yelling to start the movie. read more

There are certainly some good things about this theater - recently, it has been very clean, and the employees are so friendly and polite. The front lobby has a nice atmosphere on a weekday. The restrooms were clean when I used them. I really appreciate the $6.00 Tuesday movies if you join their Backstage Pass program. Now for the issues. First, they obviously don't turn the heat on until later in the season. I was there in early November, and it was so cold in the theater that my friend and I were freezing the whole time. We resolved to bring small blankets the next time, and that worked. The worst thing - the movies on the screen look really dark, and slightly out of focus. It's noticeable. I've seen the same movies at other theaters, and there is a difference. I don't know if they need to clean their projector lens, or if the projector light bulb is aging and needs to be changed. I've read that this is sometimes a problem if they use the wrong lens. This problem was noticeable in different screening rooms within the theater. I have actually noticed this problem on an ongoing basis over the years at this theater. I even talked to the management once about this, and he said "well, we've had some complaints, but actually that is just a dark movie." I don't think so. It was the Downton Abbey Movie! He did give us some passes once because we left early it was so bad. I can't believe more people aren't complaining about this in reviews. Overall, I want to love this theater, but they really need to do something about the less than perfect projection. read more

Very bad audio and blurry picture. Used to be great at this theater but the quality of tech is getting bad. The past 2 movies (Tron and Predator) I took my family to see on the Grand Screen and spent over $70 each movie the audio was horrible and picture a bit blurry. When my kids mentioned it to me without me saying anything I know its really bad. I have voiced my concern about the very bad muffled-audio to customer service and they responded that they got it fixed. I am going this Thanksgiving weekend to see Wicked-For Good and if this theater don't get it right I will probably never go back. read more

If you put butter on afterwards only the top gets covered. Love the recliner seating. They have accommodations for everyone. Some of the recliners are old and broken. Overhead lights were on over our chairs the whole movie (Nosferatu). Also patron in seat to our left was on his phone. When we requested he get off his phone the second time, he told us to mind our own f-ing business. Reported both situations at separate times to assistant manager, or at least presented themselves as one. Nothing was done about either situation. We have been to this theatre for years and enjoyed so much until it started going downhill. We are considering going elsewhere because nearly every time we go our seats don't work properly . They should mark off seats that are broken so they are not an option to select. As expensive as tickets and concessions are we expect fully functional seating every time. Please do better. read more

I'm sad to say this theatre has been trashed by the youth in Lee's Summit. Our chairs didn't work, one had the controls punched through the side of the chair. The staff is ok but generally speaking the entire place felt under staffed and unclean. There are now warnings that kids can't come to the theatre after 6PM with an adult. Sad to see this happen to what was a nice family friendly theatre. I'll definitely be renting shows at home from now on. The movie did start on time. read more

The Screen and Play for my little boy was amazing. I felt relaxed and so did he. He's 18 months and it was perfect for him to see Paw Patrol. i definitely recommend. They get 30 mins of play before movie and during intermission if they have it!! Go!! read more

If you buy your tickets online u get charged a "convenience fee" which I wouldn't be opposed to paying if I didn't have wait in line 30 min to get my tickets. I thought buying them early and paying a convenience fee would take care of the waiting in line. I won't be back to this location. The manager was a young kid and he was less than helpful. read more

Came to see a movie, but was really disappointed. There is an incredibly obvious patch on the screen. The part that bothered me the most is when I asked about it, they acted like it had been there a long time. For the hefty $10-$12 ticket price I'd say it's worth it. The restrooms were clean and the automatic soap dispensers are always a plus for me. We decided on a late showing of the movie "Us" by Kee Peele. Self-serve machines made the buying process run smooth and the staff at the concession stand were nice. The seating is more like a loveseat situation and I'm not sure if the lower half is the same way. Leather chairs that recline, what could go wrong? Due to the time of day there was no loud, annoying crowd to deal with and i enjoyed myself. It must've been too relaxing since my movie buddy fell asleep and starting snoring about halfway through the movie. Spent $45 dollars on two tickets to watch madam webb in 4D. The 4D wasn't working for half of the movie, when I came out and complained about the 4D and asked for a refund the girl told me I couldn't get a refund because we were past 30 minutes of the movie. Ive never seen a movie in 4D i didn't know what to expect. Wasted my money and time, girl was rude and just offered free movie passes. Unprofessional. read more

I bought tickets online and was charged a service fee for doing so. I took my kids to drop them off for 8pm movie and did not realize they could not watch a movie without me after 6 so I needed to get a refund. They would not refund my service fee. I asked them what the fee was for and was told that it was for maintaining the web site. Why am I responsible for maintain the web site. I said that this should be a business expense and was told that it is a customers responsibility to maintain the web site. Is this similar to checking myself out at Walmart?? Me and my family really enjoyed our experience! The seats were a very nice leather and could recline. We watched Raya and the last Dragon and it was a really good movie! My parents got drinks from the bar and they said it was very good and not to pricey. I would totally recommend going to this movie theater! read more

Nice seats, but the credits were unenjoyably loud in theatre 8. Not sure I can sit through a 3.5 hour movie after 30 minutes of LOUD noise.

Went 1-2 months ago to see Mario. The theatre was horrendously dirty and had a very vile smell.

Thought we were going out for an enjoyable experience. Turned out to be the last time we ever go to the movie theatre. Let's start with buying tickets online but still having to wait in the line to buy tickets. Makes no sense what so ever! Second, when claiming our tickets the Customer Service Rep could have mentioned the A/C was out in all the theatres. When we went to sit in our seats there was trash everywhere, the theatre smelled terrible and it was hotter in the theatre than it was outside in July. When I decided to complain and ask for a refund the manager said and I quote " if you're hot how do you think we feel? We are working in this heat." I was so shocked at her reply that I just walked away and told my wife let's go. 35 dollars for 2 people to watch a movie is over priced and then you get shitty service as well. Never going back pass the word along quick before someone else wastes their hard earned money. Bullshit !!!!! I wanted to give 0 stars. read more

Bought our tickets online, so we didn't have to arrive early, however upon arrival we were told we had to get in line with the people purchasing tickets in person so we could have our code scanned. They had one person working the ticket booth with a line of people either trying to purchase tickets or have their code scanned. Meanwhile, our movie was starting. The place was not clean at all. We went to see Aladdin and the movie was great!! I love that we don't have to rush to get to the theatre because our seats are already reserved. I went to purchase popcorn and drinks to enjoy during the movie. Popcorn was perfect and we love the drink machine. The lobby are was decorated for the premiere of Toy Story 4, which we will see another time. I had no idea they went all out like this! We enjoy B and B the only thing is that I wish the rewards program offered more incentives like free upgrades. Outside of that it's always a great friendly experience! read more

Some things need improvement like the cleanliness. In the lobby there is popcorn everywhere on the floor and to get tickets only one machine worked and the employees didn't know that and was yelling to move over because of the line but the other machine didn't work even after people were telling her Nice recliner seating at least. read more

Audio was messed up in a theater for across the spiderverse last night, June 1st. employees knew that it had been happening all day with the same theater/screening copy(on 2 separate screens. 9 and 10 in case you want to cancel your tickets now) Us and a few others received partial refunds, minus the online convenience fee, which for 2 tickets is nearly 4 dollars. They continued to show a the defective movie to a full theater after they had been doing it all day and had no problem with it. AMC may suck but they'll make things right. B&B will not even after further correspondence. don't waste your time or money. read more

Let's just say I expected better. I purchased tickets for Clifford the big red dog in the screen play Theater and this is by far not worth the money. The carpet is ripped, some of the chairs don't work and the play equipment is filthy. Not to mention I'm pretty sure the theater hasn't been cleaned all day. read more

Hubby & I aren't really frequent movie goers. So maybe I'm just easily impressed, but we went to see "Solo" at the B&B Theatres Lee's Summit 16 yesterday and NOW I want to go to the movies every week! Since between the last time we went to see a movie (maybe 2 years ago) and Friday afternoon, B&B turned #6 (the theater showing "Solo") into a rather amazing movie viewing area with large, comfy reclining chairs spaced in tiered rows. If you've NEVER watched a blockbuster movie, with an intense sound system, WHILE LOUNGING WITH YOUR FEET UP IN CUSHY COMFORT and maybe with a big old tub of popcorn or a nachos and cheese and big drink to keep you hydrated, then you really owe yourself that experience. Unless there is a giraffe in the row in front of you, you won't even be aware there are other people in the theater around you. And, apparently, there are other theaters in this complex of 16 screens that can suit the requirements of a young family with kids that want a little active playtime before settling down to watch a movie. I KNOW this because: the big screen experience of advertisements BEFORE the main feature also offered up a bit more about the 'wonders' available at the B&B 16 in Lee's Summit. There was something about an 'expanded menu of choices' for movie food and, for the giant, mega-blockbuster first run movie you've seen advertised on TV at every commercial break, There is a very large surround-sound auditorium, with more traditional seating...and, who knows what other perks. It was sort of sensory overload...and that's even WITHOUT factoring in the movie. From walking into the lobby and being offered "your choice of reserved seats" on a computer screen at the ticket counter...then finding out that movies are now digital and actual film is apparently obsolete so there is no 'guy back there changing reels to keep the action going'. Well, it was pretty earth shaking to my old-fashioned sensibilities, I can tell you. But I'm not afraid of the 21st Century...the seats were REALLY nice...the experience was fun enough to want to repeat it fairly frequently, if there are enough good movies to bring us coming back. But THIS IS NOT "The Dollar Show", or even "The Two Dollar Show". Fancy comes with a price tag and for "Solo", in a small theater with maybe 20-30+ reclining, leather seats it came to a little over $9 a ticket for the 12:45 p.m. afternoon show* (*popcorn extra) Sure, I'll do it again. B&B Lee's Summit 16 is sparkling and this is where the future of the Movies is heading. But just so you know, I kind of missed knowing there was 'a guy back there waiting to change the reels.' read more

Quality of service here is great. The only reason I come to this theater though is because they show movies that depict Jewish culture, including "Armageddon Time"" and "The Fabelmans," which is important to me. Keep showing those movies so I can come watch some more. read more

*I am very excited for the renovations happening, so I hope to update my review more favorably once they are complete. I love what has been updated here so far - the bar (YES), the food selection, viewing options (like 4D!) and mostly the recliner seating. I am seriously spoiled by these seats now! This theater is obviously working on the building to make changes for a more luxurious movie viewing experience. Which is needed when considering their higher pricing. I'm really looking forward to the final result. The issue now is the customer service. When you get to the theater, everyone is WONDERFUL! We've never had a negative experience with a single staff member in person. But you have to actually go to the theater to get any customer service. The number on Google just keeps ringing and the hotline number on the website is an automated message that hangs up when it is done. We recently needed to get ahold of someone at the theater because of the crappy ticket purchasing of the website ("declined" our card three times but charged us each time without a confirmation) and couldn't get ahold of anyone! We had to drive out just to get refunded and buy tickets. By the time we were able to get there, the tickets for that showtime had all been sold. I hope after the physical renovations, they address their purchasing platforms and have a phone system that works. Just these small inconveniences can overshadow the comfy reclining seats and delicious moscow mules, causing viewers to go elsewhere in the city that can provide a similar service. read more

This theater is clean and comfortable. Not a huge, huge theater but big enough to offer a good selection of movies. The reclining seats are comfortable for all sizes - from me at 5'2" to my boyfriend at 6'5". Glad to have this nice movie theater on Douglas St and the new one in the Longview area. read more

I visited your theater a year ago and I gave you a good review but I was there this past Monday August the 21st and I had a terrible experience at your movie theater! I was there to watch a movie called Hit The Strip that was supposed to start at 7:30 I was there 30 minutes early to get my food and get in my seat it started to be 7:50 and the movie never started and no previews came on . So I headed up to the concession stand to tell the workers that my movie never started nobody else is in the theater but me . They said okay and they said that they would start it they said it was their fault . I went back to the theater and you can tell that the movie was not in the beginning I don't know where it was at I had already missed a lot of it and I went right back to the front and told them that the movie is in the middle and not in the beginning I don't know what's going on and it was no previews . I talked to the manager and he told me it was only 3 minutes until the movie and I told him well I don't know where it's at in the movie I just know I don't know what's going on and I asked them can they start it from the beginning and they said no they couldn't so I asked them can I get a pass to another movie for next time he told me no he cannot waste his movie passes on me . I asked to speak to another manager which was a lady . She told me the same thing she said it was only a few minutes until the movie so she would not waste her movie passes on me . I don't know why they was acting like this towards me but I told him it wasn't acceptable I'm a manager myself and you're supposed to make your customers happy it wasn't my fault because the movie didn't start on time and I don't know where they started it at I just don't know what's going on in the movie because it wasn't started from the beginning . I contacted the complaint center and I sent an email tell him what happened they emailed me back and told me that there was nothing that they can do because the movie started on time . I emailed them back and told them that the movie didn't start on time that's what this whole complaint is about I had to go tell them to start the movie I'll get back the movie it started and it's not in the beginning I should have got another movie pass or something . The management at this location does not care about his customers or maybe just not this customer . I have been to B&B movie Theaters all over and have never experienced this kind of treatment I will never be going back there ! read more
