Nice seats, but the credits were unenjoyably loud in theatre 8. Not sure I can sit through a 3.5 hour movie after 30 minutes of LOUD noise.

Went 1-2 months ago to see Mario. The theatre was horrendously dirty and had a very vile smell.

Hello Gayle! No, we do not have a restaurant, but we do offer an extended menu from our Marquee Bar & Grille! Some of our food items include: Burgers, Flatbread Pizzas, Popcorn Chicken, & an assortment of sides (fries, mozzarella sticks, funnel cake… Read more

Have you ever been in a chilly theater wishing for a source of warmth and coziness? B&B Theater has…read moregot you covered with seat warmers (at least in theater 1)! Their reclining seats are also very comfy, probably even comfier than my couch at home. The screen and dynamic sound quality are also noteworthy. I distinctly remember a scene where the rain sound came from different overhead speakers than the voices of the characters, creating an immersive experience similar to movies in 4dx. To make your experience even better, B&B Theater has a Jazz lounge with live music to add to your movie going experience. Their slogan is "Enjoy the magic of the movies!"The small touches will definitely make your movie going experience magical.

This location was formerly an Alamo Drafthouse, and, while there were horror stories about how that…read moreplace was being run, we still really miss that business model being available locally. However, we had an errand that was going to have us close to downtown today so we thought we'd go give the B&B a try. It was...disappointing. Look, the building had problems, but for the escalators to still not be fixed? Or constantly breaking down? FFS...that's been going on since Alamo ran the place. For that problem to have not been addressed in that time is just inexcusable to me. Thankfully, the elevator still works, and on a low-key Tuesday afternoon, it was fine. If it had been a busy weekend night? Nightmare. So what, you may ask? Just get to your seat and enjoy your movie. Well, I'd have loved for that to happen, but our 3:30 showtime came and went...at around 3:35, a guy who I assume is a manager came into the theater to tell us they were having problems with the projector, and that our showtime would be delayed. So, we wait for about 15 more minutes, and the apologetic manager came back in to let us know that they were not going to be able to play our film at that time. He promptly refunded our ticket price (not the fee, unfortunately), and offered us 2 passes good at any B&B theater, along with a couple free popcorn coupons, which more than made up for the fee.) All in all, a very disappointing experience at what was one time our favorite theater in KC. While we will keep patronizing our neighborhood B&B, I am unlikely to even consider this location as a viable option any longer, which is just a shame. Maybe if we're already downtown for something else, we might try again, but definitely not a special trip to specifically go here. Such a shame for what has become of the beautiful Main Street Theater. 2 stars instead of just 1 because of how the manager handled the equipment failure. I hope B&B gets their act together at this location. We like the chain, but this location is just not cutting it any longer.

The theatre itself is large with plenty of seating, and the screen definitely lives up to its Extreme Screen name. It's huge with a great picture and I recommend sitting toward the back for the best view. The seats were comfortable, though they don't recline, which is my only complaint. The concession prices were very reasonable, a large popcorn and a large drink for under $15, cheaper than most big name theatres. The employees were friendly too making this a good spot to see a movie.

It also happened to be our three year olds first movie in a theater! The major underrated benefit to this theater, IMO, is not only is it great for kids' movies, but it's not incredibly loud. You know those theaters that want to flex their audio and you can feel it in your chest during an action scene? Not the case here. Perfect audio balancing, which helps my sensitive kiddo (and me, let's be real). I was surprised that even after buying four tickets, popcorn, and snacks that they wouldn't validate parking. It's gotten much stricter around Union Station as the Streetcar has taken off, which I totally understand. However, I think being a paying customer should have a small reward. Just a little feedback. I love almost everything about Union Station, right down to the bathrooms, so enjoying this theater is no surprise. Go check it out!

### Draft Review for B&B Theatres - Liberty, MO…read more We visited the B&B Theatres in Liberty, MO for the first time today and, unfortunately, it will also be our last. On arrival, we were actually really impressed. The speakers in the parking lot were playing an amazing soundtrack from *Pirates of the Caribbean*, which got us excited and set great expectations for the experience. Once we stepped inside, though, things went downhill quickly. The lobby has some nice decorations, but the overall atmosphere was dark, stuffy, and a bit dingy, almost like the lights were turned down too low. On the positive side, getting our tickets from the kiosk was quick and easy, and the machine printed them without any problems. When we got to our seats, we were very disappointed. The seats seemed old and poorly maintained--one of them wouldn't even sit upright, and several of them had a strong, unpleasant body odor smell. It made it hard to relax or feel comfortable. Then the previews started, and we noticed right away that the screen seemed darker and slightly blurry compared to other theaters we've been to. We were seated on the right-middle side of the auditorium, and at first we thought maybe it was just the previews and that the actual movie would switch to a better projector or sharpen up. It never did. The image never looked "crisp" at all--definitely below the standard of other theaters we've attended. Because of all this, we requested a refund within the first five minutes of the movie. That process was more difficult than it needed to be. The manager and what appeared to be his superior were both present, but neither one acknowledged us or spoke to us, even after the cashier had clearly told them about our situation. They walked by without making eye contact or offering any kind of explanation or apology. The only person who treated us well was the shift lead, who actually acknowledged us and helped us get our refund. Given the uncomfortable seats, poor picture quality, and lack of basic customer service from management, we will not be returning to this location--even though it is the closest theater to our home. Based on our experience, I do not recommend this theater.
