Hes a one man mechanic who is also a big fan of social media (live by the sword die by the sword) & radio star (The Car Guru on Oldham's 96.2 The Revolution). Paul made me feel very much at easy today when dropping my car off. A Very friendly bloke who explains stuff in english & doesn't confuse you with mechanical jargon. He is also "Female Friendly" approved. As a driver i'm now glad i have found somewhere where i feel i won't be ripped off.

They made every effort to reduce the total cost to me and went to great lengths to explain what they were doing. Honesty and integrity are the cornerstone of this business, There is one thing worse than an costly engine breakdown.. thats the feeling that it has been made more expensive by the garage.Thankfully I drove away assured that these "proper mechanics" had done a great job as cost effectively as possible. When I offered to buy the car which…read moreI subsequently did, I noticed that the inside of the car was covered in dog hairs, smelled and had two scratches to the bodywork. They assured me they would deal with these matter. Few days after I bought it, the car start to smell of wet dog. I looked better the interior of the car discovering the unimaginable. The car was so mess, dirty and smelly something to make anyone shudder. Also I noticed a big issue with the body-paint that it was impossible to see before because when I picked up the car it was raining. Basically when they sorted the matter with the scratches the car wasn't fully masked and the remaining paintwork was coated with overspray. When I went to the dealer they assured to sorted this. there followed three attempts by them to resolve these matters but on each occasion it was unsatisfactory. On the first occasion I waited a couple of hours while they tried to clean it and deal with the body-paint issue but nothing changes. they booked one-day repair service. When I returned for the second time I left the car for a full day but when I went back still nothing change. I asked the refund as me and my wife wasn't happy about the condition of car. The manager Sam intervened asking the reason of my decision. Again I showed the damage to the bodywork and the matter with the dog hairs and the smell inside the car. I showed also a video and a lot of pictures of the car that the manager decide to book a five days repair service and I and my wife was assured that they would clean off the overspray, take the seat out , wash and dry and re-put the back seat on ( the main matter with the smell). After five days I visited the company, I still had to wait as they said it wasn't ready. However once finally I saw the car I clearly hadn't been dealt with. Under the consume right 2015 I asked for a return of my money because I was still in the 28 days rule by law. The salesman Mark said I would have to wait until the manager returned from his holiday. I asked If I could buy another car instead but was informed that the value of the car was now £1.5/£2k less than I had paid it less than 3 weeks earlier. I left the car to dealer as I didn't want go back with an unsatisfactory car. The following week I rang the dealer asking to find a solution as I needed a car. After few calls he said they were not prepared to refund the cost of the car as they were satisfied about the car!! I was also told that if I didn't came for the car they would start to charging me a daily parking fee. I felt at that stage ( I needed a car) that I had no option but only to pick up the car). I can accept to had a bad deal this time but I cannot accept the doggy games of the dealer. Go there for a repair and not find nothing done. The other annoying thing is how it is possible that a big motor group like Stoneacre can actually sell a " bin of s***t " like this. also It was funny that one of the salesman replied to me saying what do you expect from a car of three years old, my answer was so simple that he disappear for a while." When I count my money on that desk the money wasn't smelly of wet dog". Anyway after few days I bought from EBay another seat set which I swapped by my self. This gave me the opportunity to clean the car properly as it needed . What I found inside was disgusting, which only makes anyone think of throwing up. As soon as I will have a chances I will find someone to fix the matter with the bodywork ,But Don't worry Stoneacre we will see soon I bought with the car the 5 years warranty so we will have a fun later on. Ps I need to book an appointment as the air-con doesn't work as should be matter that is remind to the manager in the emails.

Very very thorough job Mark did to, super impressed with his job and he tried his best to explain every process. Cleaned every elec sensor. Would i recommend to friends & family......100%. Don't waste your money - stay well away…read more This outfit took £190 and failed to do the job that was requested - the dpf was blocked on a Vauxhall Insignia, I was told that £190 job would definitely sort out the problem, a number of weeks later and after doing no more than 100 miles the dpf filter remains blocked - I have a aa report to confirm this - this outfit claims they can clear a dpf filter with their so called chemicals - it has definitely not worked on my car - I have re contacted the business owner and he has refused to return to do the job again - avoid this company at all costs - they do not deliver on their promises - I am also contacting trading standards

Being in the city centre its quite convient if you drop off your car in the morning, go to the shops or check out a movie and then your car is ready. I think if you have an MOT / service they also wash the car for you (dont quote me on that one!) Cons: Since its not the largest garage in the world they sometimes dont have what you want in stock. I needed some continental tyres for my car and they had to order them in. (Admittedly it didnt take long at all for them to get them in).
