My fiancée and I wondered through a courtyard looking for something chill that wasn't a pub in Dingle Centre. She saw the word pancakes and we decided on Béile Le Chéile (Bayla luh shayla) based on the chalkboard daily menu. The restaurant has a small indoor room and a balcony outdoor patio. We'd been looking for an alternative to pub grub and found Béile Le Chéile to be an adorable café. We started with a cappuccino and a Spanish white wine. She had pancakes and bacon. I had salmon plate with potato cakes and a salad. Not able to resist, I ordered the seafood chowder which tasted homemade with fish as fresh as expected from a local source in a seaside town. This is a find in a town that seems to have more than a few tourist traps. Giggly conversation with my fiancée of now two days and some Rufus Wainwright background tracks added to the joy of finding this hidden gem café. Service was attentive and warm. This is a good spot. read more
