I had a pretty great meal here with some colleagues this evening.
We ended up getting some sort of appetizer platter that had a little bit of everything -- grilled meats, arepas, fried plantains, and chicharrones. The chicharrones were better than the one I've had at Tropico, in Amsterdam. Nice.
Everyone else was stuffed, so they ended up getting different kinds of arepa -- I ended up getting the tamal, which is similar to a Mexican tamalé but bigger and with more variation of what's inside. This one had pork belly and chicken, and came with a side of rice. It was pretty good, but could've used some more salt, I suspect.
Portions are huge! Ambiance reminds me of Latin American restaurants back home (Los Angeles). Worth a visit! read more
